I actually think this is a fairly well reasoned take? There are studies that suggest that relying too much on AI can dull skills and I can see how having AI craft your homily would feel like abstracting the priest from the congregation. Wouldn't you prefer a love letter from the heart and not AI?

I don't know why this bothers me so much, searching for design tips isn't weird but.. the commercial is just narratively bad. If I was telling a story about a student feeling home sick it would be about her family/friends sending her mementos that remind her of home not an AI-fueled shopping spree
