I LOVE how @propublica.org dealt with official comment here, editorially and stylistically.
The Trump administration says none of this is happening.

"DHS is NOT arresting U.S. citizens by mistake." "There are no 'indiscriminate' stops." Allegations of "racial profiling are disgusting, reckless and categorically FALSE." "The pattern is NOT of law enforcement using force." "ICE does not zip tie or restrain children."

But that is precisely what is happening, and at a far larger scale than previously reported.

Before you get too gleeful about this, remember that: * More than half of all Black people in the US live in the South * Black people in the South in rural and suburban areas, are dying the most This isn't just the GOP harming themselves. This is the GOP being very effective at harming is more.

Not only did I meet Robert Kraft, I worked for him. His kid Jonathan asked me to “remove the black music” from my gameday playlist in ‘94 & I refused so they fired me. I was the cheerleader director at the time. I sued them for wrongful termination and won. So yes, I know that motherfucker.

Government sources say legislation aimed at China poses a risk to British businesses and must be addressed European legislation that threatens to lock British business out of EU industry could derail a planned reset summit between the bloc and the UK, government sources have said. The “Made in Europe” legislation – formally known as the Industrial Accelerator Act – is designed to curb China’s increasing presence in European industry, but was not on the reset plan agreed by the former prime minister, Keir Starmer, and the European Commission chief, Ursula von der Leyen, in London in May 2025. This is APPALLING. The Trump administration is detaining multiple random Somali immigrants with no criminal record at Guantanamo Bay, seemingly because the White House ordered ICE specifically to detain Somalis at Gitmo as part of its effort to punish an ethnic group Trump has attacked.
According to Mohamed, guards at Guantanamo have said they are being held there because that's what officials in Washington, DC, want. "There's no other nation, only Somali people in Guantanamo Bay, in the prison," he told me. "And when we ask them why we are here, they tell us... Washington...ordered to keep Somali people in the Guantanamo Bay."

Not mentioned in the article or the blog post, but this is the midpoint for later iterations when Google just watches you all the time and you don’t have to manually note where your items are. (not kidding) www.theverge.com/tech/987339/...
“According to a Google blog post shared today, you’ll soon be able to ask Gemini to remember where you put an important item like a passport that you don’t frequently use and may forget exactly where you stashed months later. Gemini will save its location and let you add a photo. When you need it again, you can ask Gemini for that location, or find the item in Find Hub’s remembered items tab. The feature will be available on devices running Android 16 or later in countries where both Gemini and Find Hub are supported.”
