It finally happened, I went outside for just slightly too long and I “slipped and fell and I couldn’t get up!” I saved my shopping including my bottle of wine but took out my kid. Their fine though 😂 #bruise #bullseye #IFellDown #ouch #I’mfinethough

Put the prints up which I bought from Jim’ll Paint It and took down the Christmas tree etc. (with a lot of help) over the weekend. Also here’s my lounge. #mylivingroom #Ihavealotofstuff #collector #dvds #popvinyl #reddwarf #doom #MrBean #fuglers #strangerthings #succulents

A photo of my living room featuring my newly framed and hung prints. One is a picture of the characters from the TV series Red Dwarf in the style of the poster from the first Star Wars film. The other is a version of the DOOM video game cover but with Mr Bean as the Doom Slayer/Doom Guy with finger guns and teddy instead of his guns. Also features my large turquoise sofa, cactus and moomin troll scatter cushions, vintage 30’s painting of birds on a branch, my stranger things lights and plush charms, my collection of pop vinyl figures, fugglers and various other nic-nacs.

A close up of the two prints previously described as well as my 11, Demagorgan, Hans Gruber, Dean, Claptrap and Goku pop vinyl figures. My two grey fruffy fugglers and teddy bear. Also my dvd collection hidden behind all that stuff and my LED Pac-man Ghost light glowing orange.

Take care of yourself this holiday season. - close your eyes - take a deep breath - embrace the gloom - wander the trackless moors at midnight, following ghosts to the crumbling ruins of forgotten kings and magic untold - have some tea and cake with your new ghost friends

Red sky in the morning, sailor's warning. Red sky at night, sailor's delight. Red sky at noon, Cthulhu arrives bearing gifts, and that gift is your doom.

This is one of my favourites. Absolutely bonkers, cherub jockeys riding bats! So very festive ha ha!

Victorian ‘Christmas’ card design of cherub jockeys riding bats at sunset. At the bottom the words read “We come to wish you all a bright New Year.”

#victorianchritmascards you’ve got to love drunk robins and creepy goats as a means of seasonal greetings! I actually really like the dancing food and animals tableaux though, the jaunty rabbit playing the fiddle is great. #creepy #goat #robins #bird #orchestra #dancing #food #indigestion

There is a sea otter I cut about two years ago? Backed with green glitter board and I used olive green card for the sea weed framing. I enjoyed trying to make the air bubbles. #handcut #papercutting #seaotter #glitter #green

Some of my favourite examples of early Christmas card designs. After postage stamps became affordable people started to send festive cards but they hadn’t quite figured out the creative language for the seasonal greetings. Enjoy!
