Species ID Was told it was Damon diadema but it (he?) only has 2 bands on the legs instead of 3 distinct ones. My thought it Damon medius. (Subadult) If anyone knows for sure please let me know! :-) #arachnids #speciesID #arthropods #blueskyspiders

Do I have a peppered cockroach with some form of dwarfism? This is so cool! (Archimandrita tesselata) In my hand is a juvenile. They don’t get wings until adult (bottom) the small one on top with the wings is smaller than my juvenile! #insects #bugs #nature

Peppered Cockroaches
Left (in hand) - Juvenile (no wings)
Top - possible adult with dwarfism?
Bottom - full adult with wings

If you see me “rocking out” in my car, just know I’m actually totally winning that argument I had 5 years ago.

Just found A BUNCH of these in my Giant Millipede (Spiropoeus fischeri) enclosure! 🥰 No idea what type of isopod it is. This seems to be full size (there are loads of babies too) Food/substrate in milli enclosure is the isopod mix from Josh’s Frogs. 🤷‍♀️ #inverts #bugsky #isopods #invertID #bugID

Today’s episode of “The kid said what now?!?” Me: So, what should we do if there is an animal we are afraid of? 4 yo boy: RUN AWAY! Me: 😳….Or…..we could LEARN about it! Then we might realize it’s not so scary after all! (But…I mean..yeah…I guess you could run 🤷‍♀️) #reptiles #insects #education
