heehoo i'm back on the game development grind (this time using a playground project to play around with some game mechanics) I'm still relatively new with Renpy so I'm gonna try making all my mistakes here before copying it over to the actual game #gamedev

I'm currently going through a creative drought, but that just makes it easier for me to code lol (I'm currently working on a personal website/blog for my creative projects and game dev stuff ;3)

Confession: much of my jellyfish research isn't done on a whim (though some certainly is!) Much of my knowledge comes from me searching for ultra-specific facts (such as what colour box jellyfish, specifically Morbakka, is)

on a lighter note some of the kids I've been tutoring when I first started working there are actually old enough to be my coworkers now lol

Not a Video Store (Characters 2) --- (?????? ?????) ?? years of age. The supposed store clerk of the Video Store. Resembles someone Sirius knows, though doesn't seem to have any relation to him at all. #ocs #art #gamedevelopment #renpy

Not a Video Store (Characters 1) --- SIRIUS WEISS 21 years of age. First year in college. Despite his circumstances, he's kind with a pleasant disposition, if not a bit naive or foolish at times. The main character. #ocs #art #gamedevelopment #renpy

Playing around with screentones and such in Medibang (PC) While you can kind of recreate screentone effects using the Japanese patterns feature they really want you to use materials for it (which are pretty limited). Not my favourite ngl #art #ocs #medibangpaint
