it has occurred to me just now that the closest thing I have to a token deck is this, and I crammed it together just to say I could. Everything else is just Artifact Token spam

That's a fair point. I think it's ability to allow for safer combats while also damn near freely triggering Krile's ability with just the tiniest poke cannot be understated, as well as just how easy it could be to fill the graveyard with such low mana value cards. This could work just as well.

The value this card makes cannot be understated in a deck like this, one that wants to be drawing noncreatures but throwing creatures into the grave/just bringing them because for their wonderful value

Sunblessed Healer is also a potentially good option to recur noncreature permanents, especially when you find yourself with too much mana to spare

"Maribel Hearn" @dontmindthegap.bsky.social · 10/06/2025

Benevolent Geist is also a fun Mana Value 2 counterspell on a stick, with a nice backside as well should you find yourself against someone trying to stop your recursion cycles

Also I swear I saw Runechanter's Pike in here a moment ago, and if you're running it and don't mind further Universes Beyond stuff, try Glamdring as an upgrade/alternative.

"...huh, interesting. I'm not sure if I have a plush to fit into this. I'll certainly fit it onto the first one I can, though!" "Maybe one of those little plushies that look eerily like Renko."

"Maribel Hearn" @dontmindthegap.bsky.social · 26/02/2025

"Woah, that's a neat trick! Cut so cleanly, that I haven't been sprayed with strange soda." "...and I do mean strange. What an odd assortment of smells! I'm especially glad I didn't drink it now."

A heartfelt laugh escapes the girl's lips, a sound that hasn't been heard in quite some time now. Though bitter sadness stains the joy in her heart, it can still be heard. "Believe me, I remember it all vividly. It's hard to forget a once-in-a-lifetime night like that."

"Maribel Hearn" @dontmindthegap.bsky.social · 26/02/2025

"Tough question, surprisingly. There's a good amount of qualities we have to assess to make someone the most 'huggable' in Gensokyo, especially considering how many people I still don't know." "Ghosts are out of the question for obvious reasons, as is anyone naturally cold."

"Maribel Hearn" @dontmindthegap.bsky.social · 25/02/2025

"I always could try little magic tricks like that. It's not like the thought hasn't crossed my mind. As dangerous as these Gaps seemed to me recently, nothing stops me from using them for some lighthearted fun." "...though, I'm not sure who Reisen is."

140

"Maribel Hearn" @dontmindthegap.bsky.social · 25/02/2025

"You know, you're not the first person to ask this. Last time, I wouldn't have even entertained the idea of that, due to what sort of damage could be done by my lack of experience." "Now though, I can tell you exactly what happens......."

"Maribel Hearn" @dontmindthegap.bsky.social · 25/02/2025

🍇Back on the forbidden hellsite, there was a poll about whether Renko and Maribel were respectively either tops or bottoms, or even switches. War broke out, inciting propaganda regarding the poll. There was bloodshed on all sides...

"Of course I do, I'm a celebrity after all. Everyone knows the name Maribel Hearn." She couldn't stifle her laughter as she uttered that sentence, instead using a Gap to cover her expression... almost like a hand fan.

"Maribel Hearn" @dontmindthegap.bsky.social · 24/02/2025

🍇 They both switch, but Maribel tops more often than not. Also, I waaaaas there, but just chose not to voice.

"Maribel Hearn" @dontmindthegap.bsky.social · 20/02/2025

"...I'll pass, thank you very much. I'm not exactly the type to down whatever drink a person hands to me." "You could always pour out a little bit, sometimes sight and smell will tell you immediately."

"I'm not a fox! Just... some sort of unknown Youkai." "...and a Fox's shikigami..."

"Oh, I'd love some!!! Feel free to leave them in the mailbox, they'll find their way to me just fine."

"You know, I had never considered this before. I never really had this problem before, as I took the time to learn Japanese before moving." "...but it seems that separating that boundary allows for understanding as opposed to proficiency, if that makes sense."

"Maribel Hearn" @dontmindthegap.bsky.social · 19/02/2025

"Ren...Merry? What is this?" "Wait, did Renko and I have a ship name?" "...are people writing about us???"

"Maribel Hearn" @dontmindthegap.bsky.social · 19/02/2025

"...much appreciated. The salt might actually come in handy." She casts the hardtack and salt-pepper shaker into a freshly opened Gap, all with a bit of disdain on her face. She does, however, approve of the salt.

"Maribel Hearn" @dontmindthegap.bsky.social · 19/02/2025

"As a pet, likely not. I don't think I really have the space to take care of one." "...what if I tried making a pond in the Gap..."

"Maribel Hearn" @dontmindthegap.bsky.social · 19/02/2025

"Well, that depends. Within literary works, I quite like what Vampires bring to the table. The mystique associated with researching them is something I'll never forget. Ignoring what people 'thought' vampires were." "But, if you mean any particular ones, I am fond of the Scarlets."

130

"Maribel Hearn" @dontmindthegap.bsky.social · 18/02/2025

"...I just opened this! Why is somebody already pouring blood into the box?" "I'm not even sure if the Scarlets would want Gap blood..."

"...This is an odd one, I'll admit. I have no interacted with this person in some time now, but I feel as though it would be doing her a disservice to not make her something. Who knows who else will?" "To Yumeko. Thank you, for the hospitality you showed me and safety you granted me..

"I was inspired by the roses you showed me during my time in Makai. Even now months later, I cannot forget their beauty. I hope these find you well, and you enjoy them to the fullest."

For @pandemonium.moe.

"Now, these are for Miss Ran. A bit on the nose, I'll admit, but someone else already had the idea for fried tofu. Tofu shaped cookies aren't exactly a thing, either..." "I'm forever thankful for the help you've given me, and the opportunities given to me now. To an eventful partnership."

"...it's not too weird to get this sort of gift from your newest Shikigami, right?"

Somewhat less of a love thing, but more so appreciation for the help Ran has given her! And the strange bond they now share. Perhaps it is love in a sense, but different from what the last two had.

Specifically, this is for @yakumo-ran, or yetanotherran as I knew her.

"Maribel Hearn" @dontmindthegap.bsky.social · 15/02/2025

"These are for Koakuma. I found it a bit of a challenge to do anything devil related, but I figured this would do. It's just like Remilia, or even your head wings!" "I'm thankful for the strange relationship we have, whatever we may choose to call it. I hope you like them, Koa. I love you."

"For Koa, my beloved partner. Happy Valentine's Day. I hope you like caramel!"

....and by my partner, I mean me, the writer. Yes, this Maribel has multiple partners.

"To Renko. My Renko. That wonderful girl who is the reason I've done all of this. I hope that world is far kinder to you now, even as we have been forced to part ways for the moment." "I know these won't make it to you anytime soon, but I'll gladly make more for you then, my prince. I love you."

"I miss you."

"You'll be here with me, soon enough."

yes. it's all stock images from here on. Maribel, the writer, cannot bake worth a damn.

But, I don't want that to subtract from the feeling that this day is meant to give off. To those that these gifts are addressed to, please accept them.

These are specifically for @yokaibirdofmoon, a friend of mine who hasn't quite made the jump over yet. One whose Renko loved being called a Prince. I hope to see It here soon.
