Studios really fear their content being perceived as "silly" or "dumb." It must be "grounded" and "real." Of course the reason we like the IP is because it's a little silly. Paramount recreated Sonic from scratch because we demanded it. Just make it stupid and faithful! We'll love it.

With every new book, a long-running series will receive fewer reviews than earlier installments on a site like GR. Also, the aggregate ratings tends to rise. So is the 9th book in this niche series really a 5-star read, or have we simply whittled away all but the most *targetted* audience segment?

By going back in time and trading guys that literally everyone (probably even you) said should be traded for pitching. Pete was perfect, but the rest of the OF was the Mike Elias show. (I liked the Helsley signing, but it was 2 years too late).
