This isn't as black & white of a Republican v. Democrat issue as you might think. I grew up in Nebraska, where people worship collegiate sports. The "Go Big Red" cult isn't defined by partisan lines. Haranguing about any purported "threat" to college sports plays well there across party lines.

People who chastise non-voters seem to have a belief that non-voters would have voted for Harris (or at least someone other than Trump). Since these folks didn't seem to think that Harris-Trump offered a real choice, why would they have chosen Harris over Trump? They saw them as the same thing.
