THE MOUSE COMES TO DINNER is probably tied for my favorite T&J short, and this gorgeous Irv Spence animation is a big reason why! He's a huge influence on my art with how he uses his shapes--love how organic and tapered they are. Scott Bradley's score is on fire, but that comes with the territory

By the time Irv Spence got to MGM, he peaked with his excellent animation for the Tom and Jerry cartoons. Here's an example seen in "Springtime for Thomas" where you can see how he overexpresses all characters seen here, especially Tom, when he screams, and the devilish Jerry, with his grin.

And here's one last animation from Irv Spence seen in "Fit to Be Tied" Again, the expressions come into play with Tom looking all smug and Spike trying to attack him and then looking like a jackass when getting smacked with a baseball bat he carved with his jaws.

This will be PAC-MAN in TWENTY-TEN.

Paintover of a Pac-Man Party render that gives him the classic Pac-Man eyes and that's it. Nothing else. /srs (ie; pure black, no sclera)

This render is weird because his shoes are actually supposed to be orange with red accents in-game, as well as in most other renders using this design.

In this render they appear a a lighter red, which coincidentally does a better job resembling how classic Pac-Man's boots tend to just use that solid red color throughout.

scan of I Wanna Be a Sailor (1937, dir. Tex Avery) i got in last night. great animation in this shot, but you'll have to watch the short to see it

a green parrot wearing a sailor's hat and clothing is in his hut sitting at a table. he's drinking alcohol out of a shot glass, with tons of empty alcohol bottles on the ground around him. he's clearly drunk.
