I see you and raise you BRX. The situation is so poor that the train i travelled on had to have departure held back because the system couldn't get passengers through the border fast enough even with a one hour allowance

Would a bike packed into a bike case fit on the sleeper train, it's a very large suitcase but i don't think you'd get it up onto the rack..

i can't see why, if they are releasing this, they would have a reason not to add retrospective ones?

I was excited until i read this, so uprns will exist from this point forward for new sales but no the the millions of existing PPD addresses?

A good Q, i think it could work. I enjoy travelling by train but St.P is a horrible place to wait - not sure if it will get better with the refurb? It's no difference to me to spend 10 minutes going out further if i get back 50mins in a nice env or a cheaper ticket (i.e. Luton/Stansted examples)

Both were new technologies becoming popular at the same time? they don't obviously share a space, one can by mucky and require brute force the other wants to be in clean environment with delicate staff

I'm curious as to why radios and cycles combined in one store, we have one here in Sussex, long gone but the mosaic floor survives advertising Sussex radio and cycles

Also my question, the fine might go to the management co. they would then pass it on to all residents? The residents won't be the freeholder (other interested party), the failure point is planners allowing a design where a car can park when stating they can't (landscaping detail).

What's a ball park materials cost range per sq.m for this type of build (excluding F&F and foundations)?

how did you handle hydration for these, is there a point at which they are resilient or is that part of careful planning (for changing weather patterns). the trees near us are mature (20 yrs) but struggling at the moment and dropping leafs much faster than usual (no permeable paving)

it's already shut, you can hold a home in a company but you'll be hit by the Annual Tax on Enveloped Dwellings. For some the privacy of holding a home in company through a trust is worth pay a punitive rate

What's the bump up in the 00's caused by, a meteorological event (i remember some dust blowing in from the ? Sahara) or local pollution ?

Demand and maybe storage at a aggregate level (i'd chose standard ONS regions). Normalised to population or homes. It would be nice to understand where energy is flowing to in the system, which may not be poss without a hatful of assumptions?

nice, i like the Caldera system for similar reasons and the poetic elegance of using recycled engine blocks

does it matter? it's containerised, the country already has many containerised self storage units & retail offers no one seems to mind. I'd prioritise throwing the kitchen sink at reducing energy cost then come back for making it look nice - condition the planning for n years if required

I have a hazy childhood memory that around the time of privatisation the water companies (south east) either gave away or heavily subsidised rain water butts. We got 3.They also reduce overflow discharge during summer downpours for shared sewers, seems like a PR opportunity waiting

Pavements are for people, not for the profits of intl. corporations that don't have to pay tax at the same level as local companies. Tell your MP to prioritise people, not robots, and let them know our pavements are not for sale. act.livingstreets.org.uk/page/193798/...

Thanks, so any historic address list they have that predate said products would theoretically be authority owned. I had always understood that the origins of address lists were from the local authority ones and they are required to keep the LLPG current

Not surprised by OS doing but disapointed none the less. what is the requirement by the council to prove their data is not derived from addressbase? Happy to lobby mine who i think would be receptive given their political position

it's on a ru domain? from a group that has broken the law, into which researchers would put in searches that they're using to develop new research whilst the platform collects the inputs, that's a no for me. The research funder mandating open publishing is the solution to journal gatekeeping

An issue in many towns, would be good to see @jamesmaccleary.bsky.social backing this to help tackle pavement parking on cliffe high street. Acting where other parties have failed to listen to residents concerns

the OS position on IP in addresses seems odd. Before council tax their were rates and these (and 1st CT records) would predate AddressBase and digitisation. It would be highly unlikely that in moving from the rates system to the CT that councils wouldn't start with current (historic) address lists

on the small print i understand the address will be claimed as protected by the usual vested interests, however if the uprn is open then does that help sort through the open uprn data to spearate urpns that are useful (buildings) from the less useful?

@owenboswarva.bsky.social I was searching your blogs and posts but couldn't see a mention of this. Previous the EA offered higher resolution lidar and point cloud products, these are no longer avaialble and i couldn't find a reason why they were withdrawn

was the motivation on address data? I've long thought the ct band data should be open, so pleased to find it here, if that can be done with just uprns it's better than nothing. I'd always thought VOA were the blocker

i'm a bit confused by the Leeds postcode points, if there's an open UPRN product and postcode lookup on ONS then can the two not be combine to reinstate the postcode legitimately, or is there a small print against that?

How does the tenure in the position compare to either peer democracies or commercial equivalents? I can see the pros of long tenure but also, with modern media scrutiny, the cons in what is a high profile high stress position. 5-7 years in a high stress position looks normal.

@jamesmaccleary.bsky.social given the news on twitter/X/Grok and sexualised imagery, why does the govt., national rail & others continue to almost exclusively use twitter for status updates, at minimum it shouldn't encourage a monopoly at best it would move off twitter

✅ yet, it is still a platform i'm directed to by national rail, local gov and others. those all have agency, all of those messages could be pushed through here or elsewhere. most of the time i don't need to respond just get a status update or notification

There was an interesting thread that dissected flood inflation as a whole into those most impacted by changing climate or with carbon inputs which found they were driving most of the inflation
