Hello, #showmeyourknits ! I have been away from here for a while and happy to be cycling back to more knitting as the farming season winds down. I am PROUD to say my Valentine Sweater will be on display at the Topsfield Fair in a couple of weeks and EXCITED to work up a vest of my own design.

Thank you! I got all the yarn at a festival so it was very fun to bounce around between vendors comparing yarn and getting great advice. Can’t wait to wear it there next year and show them all how it came out.

#wipupdate 🧶 #showmeyourknits Shooting Stars v2 is working up nicely. I have opted to use spindles of the yellow for each section of the yoke pattern. A method common in weaving and lacework. It’s working out better than I hoped!

As I was winding back I remembered that my measurements didn’t quite fit the sizing chart. Also, the yellow yarn isn’t as springy as the rest. I decided to forge ahead anyway. SO going for a fresh start, tweak the pattern and do the colorwork differently. Trust your gut. Today’s a new day. 2/2

This is a depressing trend in new school design and budget cuts. Libraries are becoming shared spaces, usually media centers (if they exist at all) and librarians are tasked with multiple schools instead of full time in one.

Hi Carol! I’ve been knitting for 17 years, studied fiber arts for my BA, and crafting I general since I was a kid to keep my hands busy. What I like to knit changes in time, the last few years I’ve focused on pullover sweaters but have a big goal to complete a cardigan and brave steeking for 2026!
