MY TABLE LOOM IS WARPED. I had a little help from friends to dress it, but I GET IT NOW! Wow that was a lot and it's only 2shaft 66 ends. Setup for these things is so much work that I feel like I have completed a whole project, even though I literally just started. #warping #weaving #FiberArt

Caution bag 2022 Plastic Grocery bags woven on a 12"wide 2 shaft loom. #FiberArt #Weaving #reuse This is the piece that has driven me down a years long weaving wormhole. It was incredibly hard figuring out how to warp the loom at all and using delicate strips of plastic was doing it the hard way.

Thinking about technology. This is a photo from a tablet weaving workshop this past summer. Warps and cards were set up for us by Enrica McMillan at the Augusta Heritage Festival and she showed us the basics. Happy to say I know how to warp my own cards now. You get 4 lines of code then remix.

Upstream 2022 Quilted plastic with bubble wrap as batting. Goldfish and stream details are plastic embroidery and 3 dimensional applique. Hand and machine stitching throughout. This was a fun one to make but it always feels a little sinister recreating images of waterways with plastic. #FiberArt

Roots 2021 Plastic embroidery on fused Plastic I love that this piece now lives with a microbiologist friend. It just makes sense.

White Plastic embroidered roots stitched onto a base of heat fuse brown Plastic that has a crinkled texture. The roots are inside of a circle that was embossed into the base material.
