I spent 100 hours in Cyberpunk 2077 before I finally recognized the innuendo in this (very common throughout the game world) hotel sign.

I never actually read up on how shoe sizes worked before. And wow, this shit is very dumb. East Asia + Russia sizing is reasonable but even European sizing is based on strange 2/3 centimeter units. US sizing uses 1/3 inch increments with arbitrary zero points! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shoe_size

I'm making a lightning-talk presentation. After a couple rounds with Bing image generator, I caved and paid for Midjourney. Very worth it. And very fun!

Long explanation about swearing in Japanese from my reading practice app. I can’t vouch for the accuracy but it seems believable. Summary: words aren’t inherently swears but can be treated as such if used in the wrong social context.
