Nigel Farage is now a desperate man. Chasing every headline; no low too low; the politics of the gutter, racism and fear embraced. His pronouncement on Fairford trying to link with ZERO evidence to asylum is beyond pathetic.

Elon Musk is planning to spend at least $100 million to help Republicans in this year’s midterms. That’s just 0.014 percent of his current $702 billion net worth. Oligarchs can rig the system at the expense of everyone else, and only spend pennies doing so. We must get Big Money out of politics.

Three absolutely, completely & entirely unrelated facts 1 Crypto-currencies are the go-to for drug and sex-trafficking gangs to launder £billions 2 Crypto billionaires give £millions in 'donations' to fund Reform UK 3 Nigel Farage is paid to promotes crypto-currencies via Mike Keeping

It’s very telling that, at this point the story has changed again. I think anyone capable of the smallest meta cognition can see that he knew he had done something wrong getting the start, and is entirely unfit the lead

I’m somewhat heartened by the fact that the utter disaster that is Laila Cunningham, is only 1% ahead of a candidate who is yet to be named. I’m convinced Reform know she doesn’t stand a chance and will be trounced, then they can play the misogyny card. Ironically.

Just wanted to point out that the ECHR bans capital punishment for crimes of treason, so perhaps Nigel Farage might want to slow down in his attempts to take us our of it

Some of the comments on that piece make me wonder about the future of our species. Are these people wilfully stupid, or is it all bots to make you think that most of the country is woefully uneducated? I think someone wants us to think this country is more divided by ignorance than it really is

Are they failing us on purpose? Surely they can see what everyone else can see, but it’s just performative ignorance to suck up to the people who are paying them to kill the planet?

I’m not suggesting that I’m right about him, but if he’s got a better PR machine (and shit PR was always Starmers weakest point) the public will like him more than Farage. So the media will put their money on him

dombrake.bsky.social @dombrake.bsky.social · 09/07/2026
I just assumed that Andy Burnham will be very popular, likely very competent and any attacks on him from the press are likely to raise the public’s distrust in a mainstream media that is already on the ropes. Hedging their bets that backing Andy and poking Farage will be the most popular position

The issue with Ferrari is that he’s unable to consider the idea that he isn’t able to comprehend situations from other people’s perspective if they conflict with his desire to see everything from a right wing viewpoint

Nigel Farage announcing he’s resgining as MP for Clacton-On-Sea and standing in the subsequent byelection.

I agree that Clacton is the u-bend of Essex, but surely by now some of them will have noticed that he hasn’t turned up for work? I guess either way he wins, either he can claim that he’s loved, or he avoids scrutiny. I’m of the opinion that he doesn’t want to be prime minister anyway. Too much work

But there’s a pretty solid chance he won’t get back in, therefore he’s jumped before he was pushed and will avoid proper scrutiny of his financial affairs. A by-election was inevitable
