The odyssey that has been the 1972 set build has come to an end. Started building this set around 45 years ago when I was in high school. It has been a journey. Next big boy nearing completion is 1960 Topps Baseball.

With the arrival of Joe Morgan then there was one. One card remains and 1972 will be complete. Looking for Rod Carew. If anyone out there has one they would like to sell I would love to get the final card that way.

Trump telling us we should accept high gas prices highlights the disconnect that wealthy people have when it comes to the cost of living for working and middle class Americans. And never mind that fuel costs drive the ever increasing prices of all other commodities.

I don’t think Junior ever really worked out in the first place, he just settled into his dad bod.

Today In 1979: #AllStarGame Press Pin - Classic Seattle #Mariners logo! Fun Fact: The ASG started in 1933, but this was the 50th game played. How? There was no game in 1945 (due to WWII) and there were 2 games played each year between 1959-62! #MLB #Baseball #History

73 kills me. One of the “worst” cards of the player that is intended to be depicted ever. Also where is 71?

Doug @dolphindoug.bsky.social · 27/06/2026

Any baseball card peeps out there interested in starting the 1960 set? Here are 153 different cards mid to lower grade. There a few that are better. Would either sell or trade. I’m looking for 1960’s and 70’s baseball or football. Shoot me a message and let’s deal.

I want to thank @jaywigley.bsky.social for the awesome #RAK I am nearing completion on the 1972 set build and we have helped each other on this journey. This card puts me at 3 to go. I have replaced most cards of this condition in my set build. I love this card so much it is never leaving.

Got home to this in the mail. It is more off center than I usually prefer, but everything else was so crisp I went for it. Down to 4 cards to go to complete the 72 set. It feels like it’s really going to happen!

I was gone the last couple days to go tend to family graves outside the area. I came home to find an awesome #RAK from @ryanpeoples.bsky.social I have said it before and I will say it again. Ryan is one of the really good people out there. Just a great ambassador for the hobby.

That 73 Garvey is one of the worst cards of all time🤣

Doug @dolphindoug.bsky.social · 07/05/2026

Yes it is. If I’m keeping it real, and I am, I have been working on this since high school. Which is over 40 years. I know that sounds stupid but I have gone thru collecting ebbs and flows in that time. College, marriage, kids, kids sports, and now my life! And here I am!
