Many of the tools relied on for information are being optimized for engagement, to the point they are no longer useful. Youtube used to be great for learning about all sorts of things, now you're lucky to find a video made by a real person who gives the facts in a helpful and non sensationalized way

Decisions are being taken away, and new "features" don't add anything useful. All they seem to do is take something that was already easy, and take away the things that were already good, and replace them with things that no one really asked for

The person said she was a cardiac alert dog, and she was very clearly well trained and well behaved. Absolutely no reason to think she was not a service dog.

I watched a poor man get harassed in a store today for his "obviously fake" service dog (German Shepard with a black vest). The employee said "German shepherds are police dogs, and that vest is black not red" and demanded documentation. (approaching character limit, continued in comments)

Any opinion can be changed. And every person can be helped. Also, I have no way of knowing who is black online, nor do I care. As someone who would have been killed (probably at birth) in WW2 Germany, I am ok with assuming that risk. I never said other vulnerable people had to. We have allies

Female anhinga perched on a post, side view, facing to the right. This is a long lanky bird with a black tail, oily black wings neatly flecked in white, and a fabulous long brown S-shaped neck. Anhingas are sometimes called snake birds because they sometimes gyrate their necks in odd and surprising ways. Here though the bird’s neck is in a strong curly S position. The bird has a small head and a long daggerlike bill. The sun reflects in her eye and you can see the marsh behind her, but most of the background is composed of bright blue and partly cloudy sky.
