The brutal honesty is that you should always get your measurements where you can help it. Tailor's measuring tape is incredibly useful. If you absolutely can't measure, my rough estimate is that men's to women's sizes often require going up one size, example being L to XL. dollnatalie.straw.page

As someone who is curious about trying out the housewife fit, I am unsure about measurements and sizing (can’t measure myself & I’m a man) what is your advice on how to get the size right

How accommodating is women’s sizing compared to men’s? As my usual clothes are a UK 3XL, I’m unsure how well this will translate into women’s sizing and more importantly the 1950s housewifey look

Unfortunately, undesirable choices. 🫠 8 inches is a lot longer than you think, and my hot take is that beehive is just not a great hairstyle... I'd rather not be at risk of breaking my ankles or worse, so a short beehive could make due...

If "getting into this" means what I do, there's a terrible amount of nuance to describe what I do and how I do it. If you just want to dress like a housewife however, I recommend starting by looking at Gowntown, a seller on Amazon that I've gotten a bunch of my dresses from. ^^

What would be your advice for anyone wanting to get into this sorta thing? Especially with the housewifey side of things?
