I don't dislike Rutger, per say, he's just on the lower end for me. Lenja kinda falls under dislike 'cause it's like~ "ok you show me this character, and I'm very confident she fits into one of three personality types"- she absolutely did. And then I finally got to use OD, and it's like "...?????"

Tried a few times before I have to go out today, got the first hard clear with Duff Bunny (Brawler). A more accurate thing to say is "got my first hard clear with Stoneplate Armor", 'cause this isn't the universe where the run happens without it.

10/8: I've unlocked all the Rabbits, gone through the entire Kingdom story (sad), and cleared Kingdom on Normal with every one- now to start getting fucked up by hard lol. I've cleared Extra on easy with every one (somewhat implied by having all unlocked), but I'll cycle back to that.

Yumia being in Karia is just a given, but "ok hear me out, what if~" but they recently announced Rutger and Lenja, and now only did I say "they did the thing again", I said "lol why them?" - they're my 2 least fav chars of the party.

Red/White would have absolutely had it if they didn't mention Lara being in there, 'cause she's just flat out one of my favorite chars in the entire series. But yeah~

Totori explicitly talks about her "master" (rough translation in hindsight I guess), yeah? So with all that being said, you have to imagine how absolutely jarring it was to not only see her dad fish someone out of the water, but it was "that idiot Rorona 'bout to kill herself somehow"

And it's not like I needed it- I have **literally** preordered every Atelier game that's released in the West, and I spoilers, so I'm walking into the game blind.

Along with that, this was before companies were on the internet advertising and promoting their game- it was still the era of magazines, for the most part. So, like, the most common advertising for the game would be a small section in a random corner 'cause "lol it's not Madden or GTA"

Well it's like~ I played the game when it came out 2011. I'd grown up playing jrpgs (through the 90s), but the concept of a direct sequel was "a foreign concept" 'cause it basically didn't happen in anything I played. Not even in the Ateliers leading up to that (Mana Khemia doesn't really count).

that scene is my favorite in all media, and I'll never get that experience again in Atelier.

I had a good time with it, it's just, when they start talking about neurotronic nanomachine nonsense, my brain kinda just splits in half, lol.

That's the gist I got, for the most part. But all the sci-fi techy talk over it is just lost on me- largely 'cause I'm just not familiar with the genre (I generally dislike sci-fi).

Black Clover 2 I've been loathing this day, and it finally came. I watched the first ep, and it reminded me of how I have shelved s1: "it is actually good when action is happening, but I DO NOT care for anything else" - except it's 2026, so better animation.

So, it wasn't good, but it's like~ I could see them making it good. The animation is eh, that can get done up; my main thing is the usual "give me a reason to care." Like, the entire time they talked about the Black Armors backstory, I was saying "why are they even there in the first place??"

Summer anime was solid overall- balanced with highs and lows. I should do a tierlist, but I still have to finish Young Ladies (rofl no I didn't finish it) and Flaming Dodgeball Girl.

Don't get me wrong, I like Polar Opposites a lot, especially for it's gimmick. But after that, I've often found myself mindlessly watching and then thinking "... yeah I'm not going to remember anything in, like, a month or so"

Like, I **really** liked the first half of the last ep, because it was just "the other side of how this all started". After that, I watched, and it was like "... yeah, and they lived happily ever after" and that was really it.
