In the 80s and 90s you could rent a video/DVD and buy a copy if you really wanted. A bit longer with music with more focus on the buying. We've only been able to "own" media for a short time in the grand scheme, so fair play to the whole entertainment industry for putting that idea back in the box.

Is there a GOOD open source/free/cheap alternatives to ye older Dreamweaver for slapping together vaguely decent webpages these days? All the web client ones I come across are Slop merchants, and while a little coding doesn't scare me, I'd prefer a WYSIWYG design orientated thing.

People will literally spend thousands on a Martin acoustic guitar or a vintage Gibson. Never understood that. You could have every guitar/piece of equipment you'd ever need for the same price. I do find myself drawn to Duesenbergs or Eastwoods or whatever though.

Been playing Elite Dangerous on and off for several years now, and never tried to get the Sol permit to visit our home solar system. Unlocked it at the weekend, then immediately and accidentally unalived an innocent when they got in the middle of a firefight and I've now a bounty on my head.

3D printing and windows/glass in wargaming terrain. Do you want integrated planes of opaque window to paint at will, an empty void where glass would be, or a wee slot for a transparent plastic sheet to be inserted into? (Obv stained/leaded glass is another proposition)

I've basically ignored Blender annotations for 20 years because by default they always just went wherever in the scene and kinda rely on using a stylus, but have just discovered they can also be locked onto whatever objects are there - so you can... plan things a bit better? Madness.

Managed to cobble together a thing for release last night - just need to finesse it a little and make it suitable for printing. Just in time for a Saturday release. That'll be something new every week for 9 weeks. I'll relax my weekly schedule one I hit ten - give things a bit more time to cook.
