'Les Fleurs du Mal' - Oil and gold leaf on paper - 2014 My homage to the French poet Charles Baudelaire.

The Flowers of Evil is a dreamlike and symbolist work paying homage to Charles Baudelaire. It incorporates references to major themes from Les Fleurs du Mal. On the left, a dark wreck emerges from turbulent waves, evoking Man and the Sea or The Voyage, symbolizing wandering and the quest for the infinite. Above, a colossal feminine figure, framed by shadows and branches, recalls The Giantess, embodying a sublime and unsettling beauty.
