I think I just fundamentally believe people are what they do. There is no inherently good or bad person, born or made. Our actions do not leave moral stains on our souls. We must have the agency to stop causing harm. To repair what we can. And to be better people. And I want that for everyone.

uh, this is also probably not a surprise to anybody who has known me personally, like, ever, LOL

there are things in my life that i got extremely good at (programming, playing instruments) and, in both cases, it is because practicing became medication to overcome compulsive rumination, since it demanded all of my attention

yknow, I always overlooked OCD as something I might be dealing with, until learning about the non-physical subtypes and realizing how dangerously fitting all of the symptoms are

It's OCD Awareness Month so if you have OCD remember to be aware of it at all times so you can finally solve it

it is ok to feel discombobulated, all emotions and reactions are valid, but our brains are formed wet and soggy, and we are all deserving of patience

not to Discourse, but since it is personal to me, creating positive public works after a non-recurrent fuckup is strong evidence for the outcome of rehabilitation and second chances

My current understanding is that crazy frog is more of a "living a full life in a coma" kind of torture, while wumpus is axis-aligned with "jesus but without the perks" suffering

ah, do you need help making the game? Unfortunately, you cannot trust anybody on the Internet these days. Go on craigslist and hire a carpenter instead. Learn his name, shake their hand, and buy her a beer. This is step one,of TWO

i think this is a composition artifact from learning marimba, because this is a kind of rotation pattern that makes complete sense on that instrument, but it is low-key completely insane everywhere else

A fantastic, ENORMOUS game. I also recommend the A New Home DLC but it picks up exactly where the main game ends, so you probably won't need it until you're like 60+ hours deep.

but even so, I want to make a cartoon animal game that like... actually makes my friends laugh. this is not so crazy, i think

🌕mica moondog @dog-game.xyz · 07/09/2026

now this isn't a problem if you are personally attracted to cartoons as an aesthetic (like me <3; also i admire duino duck for this too but I'm too shy to interact lol)

🌕mica moondog @dog-game.xyz · 07/09/2026

as much as I loved toontown online, the most interesting thing about it is how the game utilized humor as an aesthetic, but gameplay/story wise was never actually that funny (at least to me, but probably to most)

A long time ago a friend made a JRPG forum game with no equipment/skill variation and everyone in the midgame had the same weapon (black sword) and skill (side thrust) so there were several pages of people spamming "BSST" as an acronym just to kill one monster. In hindsight this was an accurate JRPG

silly comic about nothing in particular

Panel 1: an anthro dog says "After managing to secure a publisher and years of nonstop work, my dream to make Barky & the Red Balloon is finally fulfilled!
I hope my personal experiences shine through and somebody out there feels seen by my story!"
Panel 2: several youtube thumbnails demonstrating people *not* getting the dog's story. They read "How Barky RUINED B&tRB", "Barky & the Red Balloon was ALMOST good...", and "FIXING Barky & the Red Balloon!"

Historians will be looking back at this generation 300 years from now and go "why did we give everyone unrestricted internet access at the same time with no guardrails?" Tragic that we are all test dummies in the universe's most chaotic social-science experiment to date. Take care everyone
