Let’s be real they’re using “furry” as a visibly queer subculture as a stand-in for queerness at large. Their goal has been to remove queer people from public life, and they’re testing different vectors to do so. Hence the all caps “MENTALLY ILL,” which is how they want to reclassify all queers
