1986 Oldsmobile Incas Concept, from a promotional photo shoot
Interior dashboard of the Oldsmobile Incas. The dash is a mix of blue-gray stitched leather below and plastic above. The floor is carpeted gray everywhere like a “den” in a house from the time.
The steering wheel is replaced with a yoke, with 100% of all controls, save the turn signal indicator, accessible there on switches and dials.
Behind, the dash represents more closely a heads-up display with seven segment displays giving speed and tach readouts in place of traditional meter.

CAMBRIDGE CONFESSIONS
ok so sometimes my roommate and i goon together because it just brings us closer together, right? and I was watching the england versus argentina game yesterday and we were dual-DJing, like usual, and i was lowk turned by anthony gordon after he scores so i was actually so close, but then harry kane came on screen and it deadass ruined my session, bro. and, like i made this groan of despair that was so loud and i think she thought that i finished and so she did too afterwards and it was more awkward than normal afterwards. and then she turned to me and was like “that noise turned me on” and dude i’m just mortified because my roommate not only finished TO ME, but finished to me thinking that i finished to HARRY MF KANE. so yeah #whatdatmean

It’s a kind of symbol to get angry at while the judges and officers come in from underground or some other other place. Further down now to Columbus Circle at Union, I look up and see they gilded the statues out front.
A spiral surveillance system labeled Amtrak Police stands in front of old bronze Corinthian pillars topped with gilded Roman Eagles. Behind, the main facade of Union Station. Two great archways on either side flanked by an arcade, the actual entry doors further in. Inscribed above one of the archways from Henry VIII, Act 3, Scene 2

I turn again, the whole of First Street (neither Northeast nor Southeast here) smells of gas. I see workers taking blowtorches to the statues of some Poseidon figure flanked by two clocky, nude hangers-on. I wonder if the statues will be gilded when I next come back.
The Library of Congress’ Western facade. Bronze statues that make up the fountains under a niche for the pedestrian staircase up to the main entrance are under maintenance. Workers with blowtorches and harnesses are Doing Something to them.

I had the good fortune to watch the Cinemastix cut of TBI and learning Tony Gilroy was behind this movie makes a lot of sense. (Though he's also the credited writer in the sequels, so who's to say).
A helicopter shot of Arc de Triomphe form an oblique angle in the goledn hour, sometime in November or December. A holographic projection on an old trawler's bulkhead. Lit in a dim incandescent light, the laser itsel fis orange and inconsistent. It reads

It feels that the early Winter, snow-still-fresh blue tint to much of the film is in the quality of light and setting, not some filter slapped over the lens. This is *really* restrained compared to the action movie counterparts c. 1998-2004. Fights fall prey to shakycam, but it is executed well.
Clive Owen, playing an unnamed assassin in a French cityscape. He is lit warmly by sodium vapor lights. Damon as Bourne in a roan sweater next to Franke Potente, playing Marie Kreutz. The interior of the mini is dark, with the characters lit by the sun's reflection off a snowy forest in the background. The reverse shot (chase) of the couple's orange Mini driving west through the Alps. The mountains are streaked black and white, the larch trees dusted with snow. Another shot within the mini, this time late in twilight. Bourne (Damon) is asleep, slumped against the widnow, faintly illuminated by the moon's glow off the snow. Kreutz (Potente) in the foreground regards him, lit green by a passing streetsign.

Thinking of how gorgeous Bourne: Identity (2002) was in its use of light and color. It's not afraid to use filters in some scenes -- a couple have that notorious post-Matrix green tint, but the film doesn't commit to it, which I really respect.
Matt Damon as Jason Bourne crossing, right to left the frame on a bridge across the Seine. It's a night scene, with warm city lights reflecting off the clouds late in Twilight. An orange mini cooper takes a sharp turn to a side street from a winter boulevard before second empire-style apartments in a daylit scene.Damon as Bourne wearing a red-orange demiseason jacket walking away from a TGV in Hauptbanhof.

Quite possibly (from last week’s TIME interview transcript)
I see the Secret Service looking, and I say, “What are you guys looking at?” “Sir, we think the Oval Office should be taken down, and we’ll build a new one, sir,” I said, “My ass, you can’t build a new one. This is a special place.” The cabinet room too, which I also think—show them the cabinet room when they go out, okay. The cabinet room’s gorgeous. That was a mess. It was a disgusting mess. The whole place was a disgusting mess, and now it’s perfect. But Joe didn’t do it. Well [indecipherable because of unmovable iPhone widget covering this part of text] I get a decent story. I don’t think—you know, it’s hard to get a good story. Every question’s a hit. I don’t know what the hell’s wrong.

transport fever 3, you're not gonna make me do the holocaust, right?
The campaigns aim to portray key milestones in the history of transportation as vividly as possible in their historical context.
They also deal with dark chapters in the world's events, whereby the corresponding episodes are never supposed to be downplayed, and hte victims within them never ridiculed.
After all, it shouldn't be left by the wayside that the history of transportation was often and still is a story of conflicts, oppression, and sometimes great suffering.
accordingly, the value judgments conveyed in the individual missions do not reflect the developer's own values.

This information would probably be communicated via video now, Kurzgesagt style, I guess. And we still make good art, but I definitely feel like nobody draws like this nowadays, in part because there is not much need for economy in color / shading for print production.
A beautifully illustrated DC-3, rendered in black and blue is seen on the ground. Her nosecone is opened up, exposing a dielectric radar antenna. A mechanic standing on a groundstand, perofrming maintenance. Another page under the heading ILS depicts the working of an instrument landing system, using a two axis 'cone' to depict the effect of a localizer and glide slope.

Looking at a similar (original) on the right, an old vector graphics illustration is based (from my research) on previous hand drawn diagrams of the same. And looking at it I genuinely have no god damn idea how I'd draw this from start.

Trying to learn how to do proper linework and perspective illustration and starting by doing traceovers of old fighter manuals. I don't know if you're supposed to do traceovers per se. Is that how you learn? I don't have any training in art but I am eternally impressed by this kind of linework
Atmospheric perspective illustration of NAS Coronado, viewed from the North. Traceovers of an F/A-18 Hornet on its base turn can be seen in the foreground, before an airbase situated on an island. Beyond, a mountain shoreline is pictured in simple detail.

This was my third trip to South America in this airplane. Not just an F-16, but this exact F-16.

This video starts maybe a hundred miles north of Panama. By the end of the video you can make out the coast. We passed high overhead Panama City. I held my phone up to my mask and played ten seconds of the song Panama by Van Halen for the tanker crew and my wingman to hear. We obviously had no idea we'd be on the ground there in just a week following an in flight emergency returning from Peru.

There's no escaping your thoughts on a long ride like this alone in a small cockpit. Reflection will find you whether it's good or bad. I looked at the stick and throttle of the jet - I undoubtedly have more time flying this particular tail number than anyone else since it's been with me for three airshow seasons. It was childish of me but I wondered if my feelings would somehow be baked into the soul of the airplane if it had one. Moments I was proud of, moments that I wasn't. Performances I was frustrated with, performances that I was so moved by for one reason or another that I put my visor down for the taxi back so no one could see.

I spent several hours looking closer at switches. Wondering why they were designed to be a certain shape and why they were placed in a particular spot. I asked myself if I would change anything and the answer was unequivocally no. It's perfect. I can reach for a switch without looking - the way you might reach for the radio knob in your car or a light switch in your house. I know exactly where the cockpit temperature knob needs to be so my ears aren't popping off and on due to a change in pressure. I know what fuel flow and what rpm the motor hums through the seat at - an occasional reminder that I only have one motor and that she's taken care of me. I know everything about this airplane. And though she never belonged to me, or to any one person, I'd like to think that she was my friend. But again, that's childish. Some parts of us never grow
