Truly kafkaesque and outrageous. After months of blockade the Israeli government has set up aid distribution points, prohibited Palestinians from accessing them, and warned them that they will be shot if they try. Why is this allowed to continue?

I took this photo in 2012 at the border crossing into Aleppo. There they told me that it would be all over by the end of the year. Thinking of my Syrian friends today - those that fled, those that stayed and survived the vicious onslaught, and those that were killed. I wish Syria a bright future.
