If you are looking for an issue that unites Americans, it might be opposition to data centers. I was working for a client today who's a very conservative cowboy and we started talking about the data center in Claude, TX and how it's destroying the town. He was so fired up (and right).

I wrote to @barackobama.bsky.social near the end of his second term to thank him for the ACA and how much it helped our family. To my surprise, he wrote me back. It's one of my most cherished memories of him. We will love him forever.

My grandfather served in the Second General Hospital and later detached to join the 326th Medical Battalion of the 101st Airborne Division. He was a first generation American and the son of Turkish immigrants. So many who fought were immigrants and the sons and daughters of new Americans.

My wife's dermatologist just told her she can't see her anymore because she and her entire staff are being cut because the local hospital group is eliminating the department due to Medicaid and Medicare cuts. People have no idea the ripple effects that are coming.
