"Bomber" Harris would like a word.
Bomber Harris: "The Nazis entered ths war under the childish delusion that they were going to bomb everyone else and nobody was going to bomb them,"

Jon Snow, "the fur-shouldered favourite" @secondmentions.bsky.social www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio...
"Luckily for the Bastard of the North, red priestess Melisandre (Carice van Houten) was able to resurrect him two episodes into season six. This mystery was never satisfactorily explained and seen by some as the start of the show’s decline in quality. The fur-shouldered favourite might have been better served by staying dead."

I hate to give the Daily Mail the oxygen of publicity, but "the woman-loving wordsmith" is a strikingly bizarre Second Mention @secondmentions.bsky.social www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article...

RIP Sir Tom Stoppard: The woman-loving wordsmith who fled Hitler
Nobody seemed to have quite so much fun with the English language as Sir Tom Stoppard. And few British playwrights were as revered or decorated.

Autism only exists in the kids? What about this ancient Greek boatspotter? "Thrasyllus went to Piraeus and dwelling there, he fancied that all the ships which came in were his, and registered them, and so dismissed them. When any came back safe, he rejoiced exceedingly." Aelian Varia Historia 4.25
"Thrasyllus the Aexonian fell into a strange and new kind of madness; he left the city and went to Piraeus (the port) and dwelling there, he fansied that all the ships which came in were his, and registered them, and so dismissed them. When any came safe into the haven, he rejoiced exceedingly."

#diehard2 is another Christmas classics, and #diehard is the best Christmas movie franchise, because it got a sequel. Did anyone make "It's a Wonderful Life 2"? Or even "The Muppets Christmas Carol 2: Carol Harder"?

You'd think that having foiled Alan Rickman at Nakatomi Plaza, John McClane might be owed a bit more respect #diehard2

I'm surprised they didn't set #diehard2 on Boxing Day. Would have been the appropriate plan for a sequel.
