Maker Faire Hannover Post 2: @dmytroengineering.com helped me unbrick an MSO-X 3034A! NAND flash corruption is a known issue and repairs are well-documented, but we came up with a method that uses ethernet to load the flash, plus this gives us an opportunity to bypass future NAND degradation!

Waiter! Waiter! There is an 8051 in my 10Gbit Ethernet SFP+ module!

How does that even happen?

Just connecting a client with a 10Gbit NIC to my router's 10Gbit Ethernet interface causes the average power draw of the entire rack to jump up by 3-4W. Not even routing traffic, just having a 10Gbit link in general.

it's this circuit: www.radiolocman.com/shem/schemat... but much faster! delay is adjustable between 0 and 1 μs and the output pulse is 10 ns (available in both polarities) a 12-bit DAC controls the delay, so the delay should be adjustable in steps of 250 ps

yep... 4 gigasamples per second with "6.5 digit" resolution... it took 33 minutes to capture 1.2 μs worth of waveform (timebase not calibrated yet)
