…which is how we ended up in the same law school class. On basically the same set of facts I *didn’t*, and for at least our 1L and 2L years she had her shit together a lot better than I did

One of my law school classmates was a year ahead of me at the same undergrad university. In law school we were both in joint-degree programs that started the summer before the rest of the 1Ls. She’d started straight out of undergrad, went to the school after 2 weeks or so, and asked for a deferment

All the advice has been pretty good, but one from experience (mine and others’): sometimes the school will let you take a 1-year lap - you just re-start your 1L year next fall. That can be a useful re-set if you’re having mental health concerns, or if you started law school too soon after undergrad

I remember seeing the movie in the theater and making fun of this scene. I will now readily, happily, full-throatedly say that teenage Phil was a jerk and he should shut the hell up. This scene is magnificent, and the music is *perfect*. Everything here tells exactly the story it needs to.
