A box full of botanical adventures!
Can you guess what this object was used for? Even today, it's not clear who invented it or when. It is first described in texts from the early 1700s. One of its many names is “vasculum.” For over 200 years, this cylindrical metal object was used by naturalists around the world - but for what? Explore the object and follow the clues to find out!

We liked the pragmatism of that approach. It also made the idea of a “learning museum” more concrete: staying open to new ideas, even taking inspiration from outside your field, and adapting as you learn.

At the Annual Congress of Swiss Museums, our team learned how the Swiss National Museum uses elements of Scrum, a framework more often associated with software and product development, when curating an exhibition.

What was always in your school bag? Maybe a sandwich you forgot to eat. A folded note asking “Do you like me? Yes / No.” Something you carried around for weeks for no obvious reason. These three bags belong to children in our colleagues’ families and give us a glimpse of the school day today.
