In the fog and rain, at the Coin-du-Banc Banding Station of the Rimouski Bird Observatory, we've launched a new Motus Audio recorder. Today we had a visit from lab alum Dr. Zach Gayk. We talked about his big idea of the Migration Similarity Hypothesis (that birds with similar flight calls have similar migratory journeys) and his efforts to build a migration station in the Keweenaw Peninsula.
