I'm shocked & saddened to hear of the passing of Tomonobu Itagaki, who helmed not just the Dead or Alive series but, more notably to me, the Ninja Gaiden revivals on Xbox & Xbox 360. Ninja Gaiden – especially NG Black – remain perfect. I reviewed NG2 for OXM & still have my disc. RIP Itagaki-san 🥷

I fired two of my best pizzas yet in the Ooni Karu 12 last night. They were made from extra dough I’d made the previous weekend and froze, so I honestly wasn’t sure how they’d turn out. Added Mike’s Hot Honey for the first time ever on the pepperoni. Yum! 🍕

My favorite of the four pizzas I made for my family this weekend was this one, because I used Grande cheese — typically used on a NY-style pie — on a Neapolitan pizza. I was worried the cheese might burn at the Neapolitan’s 900F baking temp, but it didn’t and it was delicious!

This despicable incident is, to me, indicative of a generation of people (the "fan" here is 22) who have grown up thinking that leaving reprehensible comments on social media and YouTube is OK. (Google's and social media's total failure to police the toxicity is another issue.)

The Royal Margherita at Tony’s Pizza Napoletana in SF is a new-ish pizza that is A) different than his championship-winning Margherita, B) delicious, & C) super fun! It’s served plain but with sprigs of oregano to add & a living basil plant you get to keep! I’m naming her Marvelous Miss Basil.
