Since the Trench Crusade rulebook arrived, I checked the publication of Uncanny Resemblance, my Trench Crusade fanfic - April, 2022. The next TC fanfic to appear on AO3 is in May, 2024. I was way ahead of the times there. :D Sure, much if it is no longer lore compliant, but the vibe's there.

Finally watched Nosferatu (2024). I am still under its spell. It was absolutely perfect, the acting, the cinematography, the sound design, everything! Rarely do I come across a horror that doesn't miss a beat and delivers not just up to, but even beyond my wildest expectations. Bravo!

Watched the new @jamesgunn.bsky.social Superman on HBO Max yesterday, as I've missed it in cinemas. The start felt weird, as if I missed something (classic Xth MCU movie feels), but then it all slowly clicked into place. The praise it earned is well deserved and I look forward to more DCU!

Thunderbolts* finally came out on Disney+, so that was tonight's entertainment. And I enjoyed it. Always had a passion for underdogs, and the movie delivered on that premise. It also had way more heart in it than Brave New World. Now I wait for Fantastic Four and Superman to arrive to streaming.

Watched The Ritual (2018). I want to say it was simple, but I think pure might be a better word for it. It built suspense steadily, didn't overdo jumpscares and the monster's reveal didn't dislodge my immersion. A well iterated horror with all the things that I love about the genre. Recommended!

This IS the weirdest timeline! I hadn't been able to set up Secure Boot for quite awhile (MS tech support suggested I do a full purge and a fresh install) and Battlefield 6 prompted me to look at it again. Lo and behold, using EA's Secure Boot tutorial, I solved it! It's bloody working! SO WEIRD!
