Two things to enliven your evening: Prince Michael, the Duke of Kent is actually a Romanov, and if you look carefully at this picture, you can see that in his younger days he got into a tussle with Mike Tyson.

The Duke of Kent: an elderly British toff with a humorless expression wearing a large blue coat and a military cap. He appears to have had a chunk bitten out of his left ear.

I think I've found my dream house. Two cool things about this place: • It's called Castle Stalker (no, really.) • It was used as the Castle Aaaaarrrrggghhh in MONTY PYTHON AND THE HOLY GRAIL.

One of my silly bucket-list items is to see a concert at the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg. It took them ages to build it and it ran way over budget, but I think it's a stunningly beautiful modern structure.

I’m ridiculously excited to dig into this. King Hu (1932-1997) is probably my favorite “wuxia” film director ever. An excellent introduction to his art is A TOUCH OF ZEN.
