These AViiQ Ready Clips (USB micro, USB mini, and Apple 30-pin) were pretty cool 10+ years ago. I would not mind a USB-C version for random connection needs, but the company seems to have disappeared. #cableguy

My teenage son just suggested that there be a periodic table specifically for elements one can and cannot lick – and I think that proves he is my offspring.

"God only knows what I'd be without you." I will never forget seeing @brianwilsonlive perform at @thebridgeschool Benefit in 1999, my last full year living in the Bay Area. I will never stop listening to so many "Good Vibrations."

I never met Bill Atkinson but I am not sure I can imagine what my life would be like without him. He created so much at Apple that most of us take for granted. Search for him on folklore DOT org to be inspired, but start with this loving tribute from @gruber.foo. daringfireball.net/linked/20

The downside of not using email verification on DocSend (which is too much friction for investors) is not knowing if that visit from "Marc Andreessen" is real. Marc, if that was you, let's talk!

I continue to hate @axsevents. Every time I try, I get: "The tickets you selected are no longer available. Please select new tickets." I do that repeatedly until: "To protect fans, we actively identify and block automated bots…. Your session has been identified as a potential bot." No tickets.

Friendly PSA that if your business emails are ending up in people's #spam filters, you might not have your DMARC and DKIM records set properly or at all in your DNS. Thank you to Uchechukwu at @microsoft for steering me in the right direction.

Excited to see new ideas forming around this in 2025. Would love to play around with some of these tools.

The new “Lucinda Williams Sings The Beatles From Abbey Road” is a pleasant surprise. It starts a bit rough, but the overall package is really inspired. Nailing a single Beatles song is impressive; an entire album is a major accomplishment. music.apple.com/us/album/luc...

Cool walk down memory lane! I spent a lot of time playing Glypha on my Mac IIci in college. And Glider, for that matter. I don’t recall knowing both of them were from the same author.

Especially this week, I am happy to have read this authoritative Barbour treatise here and not on X. Although I first discovered #dieworkwear on X. Or maybe it was Twitter. I can’t recall. Disclaimer: I do not own a Barbour, but I would be happy to.

I've been @djwhelan for many months, but short of a few @fountainsofwayne posts (trust me, I am as surprised as you) and some more recent #CroissantApp posts (like this one), I have not spent much time on Bluesky. I have now followed too many starter kits and need to find my way.

Having just returned from a couple of weeks in Japan, these insights from @mantia.bsky.social are spot on. It is a different world there (to an American), but so worth exploring, especially with some guidance like this. lmnt.me/blog/adapting-to-japan.html

I’m going to take today’s good news to do my first Bluesky post: Congratulations to Democrat Derek Tran for taking the lead against the GOP incumbent in #CA45!!

I may not currently be a #DiamondMedallion, but is this any way to return my @delta-supplied luggage tag to me?

On a continued related note, I just realized that I have had my iPhone 16 Pro for over a week, and after doing a clean install of iOS, it took me until today to install the X app on it. (Same with Bluesky, but does that really mean anything?)

On a related note, I do still have a @todayatifttt applet that sometimes posts my tweets (anyone still use x.com?) to #mastodon, just to keep people on their toes. I wonder if I could rig an applet to post from #twitter to #croissant….

I am not sure I really care about #bluesky or #mastodon enough to crosspost at the same time as #threads, but I have been waiting to try #croissant, and the "buttery smooth" (or "buttery-smooth" or "smooth as butter") promise sold me on an IAP to support indie developers. croissantapp.com
