Absolute laugh riot last weekend, including subjecting @elothespirit.bsky.social and friends to Cipher. Cipher the Animation (1989) Nirvanna the Band the Show the Movie (2025) The Napa Boys (2025) The Big Lebowski (1998)

Just tore through this in about a day and a half. @ravineangel.bsky.social knocked it out of the park with this. Absolutely visceral, hit a lot of notes I love in horror/fiction broadly, and touched on so many things that feel very close to home. Highly recommend!

Very disappointed that I just missed out on having Crank in my last four watched (it was number 5). That's a gloriously trashy movie with some absolutely nutty scenes and setpieces, including this unedited frame.

My #LastFourWatched. Haven't had much time to sit down and watch anything this past week with travel and con, but I've got some stuff to soak in this weekend. (Reviews for these below)

I've found an ancient tapestry depicting some sort of Disk Jockeying Capybara by the pool at LVFC starting at 1:15PM on Friday afternoon performing some sort of medieval dance music called...Hardgroove? 📍LVFC, Poolside 📅 Friday, April 3rd ⏰ 1:15 PM (Day Party Vibes)

I watched this last night and it was one of the most hilariously perplexing things I've ever watched. Literally crying, sobbing laughter.

There are so many more games I could list that altered my brain chemistry but these are probably some of the more formative or meaningful or otherwise deeply nostalgic ones for me, setting aside things like Souls, Hotline Miami, all the other Megaman games, etc. This is Capy-Core. my9games.com

If y'all are looking for a Discord replacement, I just tried out Fluxer and it rules! Legit feels like Discord, but better. Once they've got self hosting docs up, I'm spinning up an instance. @fluxer.app

Weather Report - Heavy Weather (1977) [Jazz Fusion] Haven't been listening to a ton of music this week, but this is such a fantastic and jazzy album. Absolutely tasty fusion stuff that's a great listen front to back. I really need to dig into more jazz fusion stuff!

Back on my bullshit with Welcome to Warp Zone! World 03 was like a greatest hits mix of Genesis Sonic tunes and was a real treat. Nothing too wild. Solid section but nothing mind blowing like the first 2 sections.

Flying Lotus - Reset EP (2007) [Hip Hop, Wonky] What is there to say about Flylo? One of my favorite producers of all time! Big, boomy bass, lush textures, absolutely hypnotizing drums, just an absolutely transfixing 17 minutes here. Highly recommend giving this one a listen if you haven't yet!

Animal Collective - Merriweather Post Pavilion (2009) [Psychedelia] Listening to Beach Boys makes me want to listen to Animal Collective. *George Lucas voice* It's like poetry, they rhyme Call me a fake fan, call me basic, but MPP is my favorite AnCo release (and by far my most listened one)

The Beach Boys - All Summer Long (1964) [Surf Rock] Keeping with the watery themes today, The Beach Boys are up. I love me some cheesy, cheerful surf rock, sue me Those vocal harmonies and the driving guitar/bass are sublime

Blank Banshee - 0/1 [Vaportrap] Keeping the nautical, watery themes going this morning, time to break out some classics These two releases feel so wet, and that's not just because of the "Aquatic Ambiance" sample on "Eco Zones" Certain vaporwavey stuff just sounds *wet* and I can't explain it

Iglooghost - Tidal Memory Exo (2024) [Deconstructed Club, UK Bass, ???] Keeping with the nautical theme from Biokinetics, but completely shifting things up here I was OBSESSED with this album for a good couple of weeks when it came out It sounds how that cover looks which is just 🤌🤌🤌

Nmesh - Welcome to Warp Zone! (2014) [DJ Mix] This is an absolute MONSTER of a mixtape (literally 4 hours and 20 minutes long), but divided into 10(!) different themed worlds each 20-40 minutes long I'll probably take this 1-2 worlds at a time until I've listened to the whole thing
