That’s the same feeling I had about Cloudflare’s blog post. On the other hand, maybe it is actually better to realize value quickly by building something inefficient faster?

OxiSH does not support compression. We’ll see if someone really needs it, but will definitely keep it disabled by default.

That means we've managed to release ~once per month on average; I released 0.23.44 on Monday to add support for post-quantum ML-DSA certificates. Meanwhile, we're hard at work on 0.24, which will come with meaningful performance improvements and a more robust API. Excited about the next 10 years!

Happy to announce a new project: OxiSH, a modern, memory-safe SSH server. dirkjan.ochtman.nl/writing/2026... Prossimo has three criteria for suggesting memory-safe rewrites: (1) widely used, (2) on a security boundary and (3) performing a critical function. This is clearly true for SSH servers.

So when are we going to make AI code get a handle on wildly overwrought commenting. One easy way to spot under-reviewed vibecoding is comments that are oddly verbosely fixated on one particular minor implementation feature (because that’s the most recent thing that was worked on)
