Thanks for the reminder! I balked at ordering the first time I saw this as I wasn't sure if I will be at the same address Dec 2026, but now I decided to at least pledge for the digital version. Apocalypse World is a great game!

Thanks! I posted chapter 1 back in July, which was not a great idea because this summer was crazy hectic with traveling halfway around the world...and then I had to fix my computer. But I've finally got a good workflow for recording, so I should be able to put out the chapters more regularly now!

This might also apply to foreigners — YouTube has a similar system in South Korea where I lived for many years, and I could never get around the censorship due to the difference in the way foreigner identification is handled there. It's really annoying, but ultimately better for teens.

RIP Ozzy! He sure did put on quite the farewell party. This is one of my favorite songs of his. The lyrics are also very fitting for a final sendoff over the mountain, so please join me in dedicating this to Ozzy Osborne, father of heavy metal! youtu.be/yWfSyhcJyHw

Depends on your genre. Fantasy and science fiction do well on Royal Road, romance on Wattpad. Horror is a trickier game on those platforms, but you can still get views. I decided to just release on my own website in the end, as it's just easier when you own all your own work.

I would like to see a really, really great adaptation. Film or TV, both would be good. So far, we've gotten a bunch of OK and one meh.

I'm aiming for "Epic Horror", but ChatGPT (which I mainly just use to help me organize my notes, not for content creation) calls my writing "Mythpunk Horror" or "Liminal Mythcore". Not sure what that's supposed to mean LOL 🤣

D.J. Baker @djbakerbooks.com · 24/06/2025

I'm super stoked for my upcoming roleplaying game! It does a lot of cool things I haven't seen before in a TTRPG, and I can't wait to see what sort of stories people start telling with it 😍

Just finished the book. What a ride. Good Stab is such a great character! Also, there's a scene near the end with a certain character petting a certain cat that had me HOWLING with laughter.

So, I’m halfway through Buffalo Hunter Hunter by Stephen Graham Jones, and all I have to say is: that scene with his father? Wow, just wow.

Haha thanks! I’ve read 6 or 7 of Jones’ books, but that one’s not one I’ve read yet. Looking forward to it!

I think it's time we resign ourselves to 'literally' as a contronym. 'Obviously' as a filler word, however, I will resist to the end. If you have to say it to me it's not bloody obvious.

What is a contronym?
Single words that have two contradictory meanings (they are their own opposites) are known as contronyms, and they are quite rare. Here are ten of them:

1. apology: a statement of contrition for an action, or a defence of one.
2. bolt: to secure, or to flee
3. bound: heading to a destination, or restrained from movement
4. cleave: to adhere, or to separate
5. dust: to add fine particles, or to remove them
6. fast: quick, or stuck or made stable
7: left: remained, or departed
8: peer, a person of the nobility, or an equal
9: sanction: to approve, or to boycott
10: weather: to withstand, or to wear away
