This is why you document the world and spaces around you now before it’s gone for ever. Don’t rely on others to do it for you when you can spend 20min documenting a space and keep it safe. Your art is influenced by the world around you and you need to respect and appreciate it while you can.

My recent posts are part of a larger project I am doing to learn new skills and techniques, and because it’s fun. I have scribbled a design for a post apocalyptic rescue vehicle to build and paint as a game asset. It will also be 3D printed for an RC truck body. I want to build it all on iPad. 😬

Yep thanks to your app (Valence) and some other very cool creative apps it blows my mind what can be done on an iPad now. I even have a beta version of the GoDot game engine on iPad so I have the complete tool kit on tablet now.

Oh that’s cool, I also use Procreate heaps too and have done some 3D painting in there too. I studies computer science at university but was always drawn to the more creative side of technology, teaching allows me to make up all sorts of different projects for the kids. Makes my weeks interesting.

Absolutely it’s useful. I use Blender on my Desktop but get sick of being stuck in my study so I’ve been using Valence3d while sitting on the lounge with my family to make little game assets for my students. I prefer the modelling tools in Valence then export to Uniform to UV unwrap and paint.

Yeah Nomad sculpt is my favourite, man I’ve sunk some hours in that app. Just trying Uniform because it offers low poly and I can do manual Seem marking for UVs. I would launch into Zbrush for sure if it wasn’t a subscription. It’s so good that we’ve got these tools on iPad though.

Yeah I know the feeling. I am learning hand painting assets at the moment too. I’m trying to see if I can do an all iPad workflow. Modelled and textured this shield in an app called Uniform on iPad. The app has an odd UI but it’s starting to stick. I’ve always wanted to learn ZBrush though.
