Ugh. Sorry about the doom and gloom. I would appreciate seeing people's pet photos🙏💖

I'm constantly stuck in a position of wanting to be healthy and get help but knowing that doing so will likely trigger me or (as happened earlier in the year) outright retraumatise me. I'm lucky to have a good doctor now, for the first time ever. But she's still a doctor.

Although my trauma isn't just medical trauma, it's a large part of it, and the hardest part to talk about. So on top of EMDR itself being potentially triggering, the very fact that it involves medical professionals is distressing. It all feels so shitty. I'm sick of having flashbacks and nightmares.

I've not been having the best year (I say, for the nth year in a row). Among other stuff, I was diagnosed with complex PTSD recently. I've been offered EMDR therapy. But I also have medical trauma and my physical health hasn't been great, so the frequent tests etc are really doing a number on me.

Gosh, I am so late posting about this, but I'm very excited to be a featured artist at Sequential Scotland this Saturday! I will be bringing Tide, the last few copies of With Malicious Intent, plus a wee preview of a new comic I'm working on called The Seneschal's Book of Hours. Find me at table 41!

A map of Sequential Scotland showing featured artists including myself, Blue Fox Comics, Chris Lau Manson, Erika Price and John Lees. I will be at table 41!

I fixed something on the page almost two months ago and since then it's been deindexed. Apparently getting more views helps it get reviewed sooner by itch.io staff... which sounds like the scammiest excuse ever to try to get you to look at my game but I swear that's what it says lmao

Text reads:
But it's been a week / a month / a long time!
Games in the review queue are prioritized by several criteria. The most important is having genuine traffic to the game page coming from outside itch.io. In other words: the best way to get your game reviewed sooner is to share the link around so people come and see it! If you wait for your game to be indexed it's just going to take even longer.

An annual reminder: The cognitive & emotional toll of staying in contact with abusive family can be both significant & difficult to recognize. There's a kind of social contract that abusive parents have violated. You owe them nothing. Nothing. Mother's Day doesn't change that.

Cartoon-style illustration of a wood elf woman with faintly green skin and long, messy dark hair. She is wearing a dark green toga and standing in front of a blurred forest background, with two moss-covered branches framing the image.

Sorry everyone, Gwyn's not feeling up to his annual "until judgement day" battle with Gwythyr this year. But fear not! Another competitor appears! Happy May Day! 🥳 #digitalart #mabinogion

Gwyn unwell in bed, looking sorry for himself.

Edern kneeling next to Blodeuwedd (an owl) and saying to her: "Right, Blod, are you ready? If in doubt, go for the jugular."

Very messy sketch of Edern and Creiddylad watching the battle. Edern, looking squeamish, says "phew, that was fierce. Do you... do you think Gwythyr's eyes will grow back?" Creiddylad seems to be enjoying the spectacle though.
