I put on hand lotion every time I wash my hands, which, being a retired RN with a background in infectious disease, is many times a day. Despite all the lotion my fingertips are peeling and splitting; just like my nails thanks to my chemo. October can’t get here soon enough.

Not generally one to advertise but, I have osteoarthritis throughout my body, a result of a life lived full speed. My SI joints are the worst. I could barely get out of a chair & stand straight up until I started using this. Now I’m pain free most of the day.

New scam. Email from Wayne Cty (Detroit) Traffic Div. Issued April 19, received May 3rd. Apparently I have multiple traffic tickets & need to appear in court today if I don’t pay the fines immediately. No mention of how much or where to pay except in person. Supposedly they have been trying to

I know it’s really not a huge issue for most but, as a former English major & proofreader, the proliferation of grammar, punctuation & spelling errors in media, online & off just makes me grind my teeth. Especially when it’s an actual online news outlet such as MLive.

I’ve watched the Kentucky Derby for more than 60 years. That was the most entertaining and exciting race I’ve ever seen and the best ride by a jockey. Last to first at 23-1 odds. Wow.

Am I being unreasonable? I spent $200 and 2 hours reseeding my front lawn. My neighbor is demanding I mow my yard now, before the seed has even sprouted. I told him that, unless he’s willing to pay for sod, he’s just going to have to be patient. He says I’m being a bad neighbor.

I bought this out of desperation to find ANYTHING to help with the pain I have in my SI joints and lower back. I had no great hopes. Darned if it isn’t helping! After just one use my back felt better. I’m using it essentially twice a day, & after stressing my back. Wish I had found it sooner.

Hindsight, I know. But I am one of those people who always has, at least, a plan B. I’m amazed at the number of businesses that don’t. Case-in-point: European airlines. They get 75% of their fuel via the Strait of Hormuz. No alternative. Goes to putting all your eggs in one basket.

Someone help me with this. My thought is, the UAE leaving OPEC is not a bad thing. In fact, disbanding OPEC entirely would be a good thing. It would mean creating competition between the countries to sell their oil thus reducing prices because the countries buying oil would buy from the country 1/2

There was no “security failure.” It worked very well. The gunman was kept on a different floor with NO ACCESS to the PLB POTUS & his minions. It’s a hotel. If they wanted the entire building to themselves they should have held it at the KENNEDY Center. There is NO NEED for a fucking ugly ballroom.
