dio dziban @diodzi.dev · 27/05/2026it's kinda crazy that a big portion of the utility of those little smart speakers like a google home mini or a homepod mini is just completely invalidated by the fact that macbook speakers sound 10x better 000
dio dziban @diodzi.dev · 07/04/2026i talk to gemini so often that it knows exactly how i like to build stuff (i.e. tooling, approach, styles i like), ever since the update that added personalization to each response it's been suuuch a better experience 000
dio dziban @diodzi.dev · 08/06/2025the best way to use a 27" 1440p monitor for macOS is BetterDisplay downscale to 1080p 000
dio dziban @diodzi.dev · 16/05/2025one of the first things to do when setting up a new mac is reversing these keyboard shortcuts 010
dio dziban @diodzi.dev · 30/04/2025i use dark mode for practically everything but for some reason seeing wikipedia in dark mode feels like heresy... 010
dio dziban @diodzi.dev · 24/04/2025if you use macos with an external display and mouse, you NEED BetterDisplay and MOS 000
dio dziban @diodzi.dev · 23/04/2025i have an idea for an ai chat app but it sounds so simple that im thinking surely this already exists somewhere right ? 000
dio dziban @diodzi.dev · 14/04/2025amazon literally owns james bond and casino royale isn't available to stream for prime video without paying extra... 020
dio dziban @diodzi.dev · 12/04/2025they’re literally making up new streaming services for fun because what do you mean i have to pay for MGM+ to watch BOURNE LIKE HELLO ???? 000
dio dziban @diodzi.dev · 08/04/2025even ignoring the insane 100k point offer and the access to transfer partners, the chase sapphire preferred gives you $10/m to use on non-food doordash, so just filter by pickup to avoid fees and it's an easy $120/yr value from that alone they're selling $120 for $95 over at chase !! 000
dio dziban @diodzi.dev · 31/03/2025thank you for the roadmap ! can't wait, love using zed, wish i could use it for everything ☺️ 010

dio dziban @diodzi.dev · 25/03/2025already thinking abt how in 20 years you could play the airpods low battery sound to me and even if they're not a thing anymore it would trigger an instant fight or flight response in my brain 001
dio dziban @diodzi.dev · 24/03/2025is lyft extra comfort just a scam or what ordered it twice cause the upcharge was only $4 each time, got a tesla model 3 and a rav4, hardly pinnacles of luxury 000

dio dziban @diodzi.dev · 21/03/2025really love how i can sorta take this thing into more situations than i could with an actual laptop (especially coming from the giant [and heavy] 16 inch macbook pro) it feels so tossable and usable everywhere 000
dio dziban @diodzi.dev · 18/03/2025first thing i’ll note is that using native apps “feels” much nicer on average than using equivalent apps on macos that are electron wrappers. 110
dio dziban @diodzi.dev · 18/03/2025my macbook for various different reasons is tied to my desk at the minute so i’m using my ipad pro + magic keyboard as a “laptop” for at least the next 2 months or so, will update with thoughts as the experience progresses 110
dio dziban @diodzi.dev · 11/03/2025i have a really bad habit of buying nice things for my desk setup and then i end up taking my laptop to work at a cafe anyways or even worse literally just working in bed a couple feet away from my desk 000
