The Rt Revd Dr Dagmar Winter, Bishop of Edinburgh, has announced that the Revd Jane MacLaren, Priest-in-Charge of St Philip and St James, Goldenacre, will be the new Dean of the Diocese of Edinburgh. Jane will take up the post from 1 November 2026, while continuing to lead St Philip and St James.

The Right Reverend Dr Dagmar Winter was elected yesterday as the new Bishop of Edinburgh. She will take up her new post later this year. Bishop Dagmar currently serves as the Bishop of Huntingdon, a suffragan bishop in the Diocese of Ely. She is also Acting Bishop of Ely. bit.ly/4rQ7p5h

Some of the amazing things on view in the Old Kirk of Weem, built in 1488 near Aberfeldy in Perthshire to replace an earlier church dating back to 1235; itself on or near the site believed to have been used for worship from around 650. More pics and info: www.undiscoveredscot... #Scotland

The annual General Synod meeting of the Scottish Episcopal Church is to be held outside Edinburgh for the first time in over 20 years. From 11-13 June 2026, General Synod will be held in the main conference facility at the Stirling Court Hotel, on the University of Stirling campus.

We will soon move to new premises in Edinburgh. The main Scottish Episcopal Church office will vacate Forbes House while the building's future is addressed due to maintenance and operational issues. As we are Forbes House tenants, we must seek new premises too. Link in bio for full announcement.

🌳 It's all go at St Andrew's, Kelso! They recently joined Kelso Churches Together at a town-centre outreach stand, while twenty-four people attended a Bible Study this month. Part of the garden at St Andrew's is also being extended, while the church has just run a plant sale! 📸 Rev Canon Bob King
