Haven’t been on here in awhile but just had to brag that I got to attend distant worlds this weekend. It was soooooo good.

I work from home. Why am I the one in my household that got sick??

So I'm a couple of years late to the game, but why didn't anyone warn me that Cyberpunk Edgerunners would rip my heart out?

Haven’t been around here in awhile. 2025 has been less than great so far. Anyone care to give me a good laugh? I need it.

Midweek Christmas should be banned. Going back to work today is cruel.

So, fired up Magic Arena for the first time in ages. Wanted to play some LOTR cards. Played historic. Matched against a blue mill deck that milled my entire deck in 5 rounds. Fun times.

So not judging anyone, but why suddenly am I being followed by so many furries?

A game everyone should play at least once in their lifetime. #FinalFantasyTactics

While this is quite a bit younger than my actual age, I can’t help but feel the creator of this quiz thought this was rather old.

Just a reminder to everyone that not all mental and behavioral disorders present themselves in the way everyone thinks. You never know what someone's going through, so please be kind.

Just a reminder to everyone that you really don't know what's going on in someone's home and personal life. Always be kind. Sometimes a small amount of kindness can make an incredibly difference in someone's life even if you don't realize it.

I kid you not, @itch.io has been taken down by Funko of "Funko Pop" because they use some trash "AI Powered" Brand Protection Software called Brand Shield that created some bogus Phishing report to our registrar, iwantmyname, who ignored our response and just disabled the domain

In light of the fact that I had to cancel my game tonight, I just wanted to share a DM story. My first game I DMed was Shadowrun. I had a player make a character literally named Murderhobo. I gave him the benefit of the doubt. It’s Shadowrun, right? He lived up to his name to the fullest.

While I wait on this never ending work call to end, I'm going to throw out a controversial statement: The Gamecube is Nintendo's best console they ever made.

So, a contractor is getting let go during holiday season (which is, of course, really messed up) and has now caused a major outage "by accident" . I hate to be cynical but I wonder if it was intentional. Regardless it has ruined my Saturday, because it has become my problem.

DinoTheFrog @dinothefrog.bsky.social · 07/12/2024

Is my memory going with old age or did Saturdays use to be fun and something to look forward to?

West coast people - I complained about scheduling meetings during my lunch time. 5:00 pm on a Friday is a far more heinous offense. Why do you hate the start of the East coast weekend?

DinoTheFrog @dinothefrog.bsky.social · 06/12/2024

Why pay someone to advise you on technical things if you're going to ignore what they advise you to do and then act surprised when what happens is exactly what your paid technical expert said to begin with?

TTRPG Insight #4 - So since I want to combine a multi-generational adventure game with kingdom building, I felt like tying better gear to simply having more money didn't make sense. (Continued)

So my daughter is super into Amphibia and Owl house. It gave me an idea for an rpg campaign. One player is from Earth. The rest of the players are from an other world. The other world players and DM have a world building session without the Earthy. The game starts with the Earth Player arriving.

The #foreverDM starter pack is starting to shape up nicely! If you know (or are) anyone that is the dedicated game master, knows ALL the rules and does the NPC in a thousand voices, comment below. 😀 Reskeets are much appreciated! ❤️ go.bsky.app/EzJF8an #ttrpg #indiegamedev #dungeonalchemist #dnd

Wow. Just found out the company I work for is letting some contractors go at the end of the month and are telling them now. That's such a crappy thing to do. This time of year is already hard enough for many.

West coast people. I understand that 9:00 am (noon my time) is the start of your day, but if you keep interrupting my lunchtime with meetings, I'm going to...well...probably just complain to myself more, really.

DinoTheFrog @dinothefrog.bsky.social · 04/12/2024

TTRPG thoughts - I'll do this over several replies to myself. If there's a cleaner way to do this, let me know as I'm definitely not well versed in this. I mostly stay way from social media. So, basic idea for my game I'm working on is that it takes place over several generations (continued)

DinoTheFrog @dinothefrog.bsky.social · 04/12/2024

So how important are predefined cultures/races for character builds in a ttrpg? Should anything mechanical be tied to them or are they better as player and character driven flavor?

DinoTheFrog @dinothefrog.bsky.social · 03/12/2024

TTRPG Insight #3: I wanted being hit and absorbing damage to be separate, so, while it's not groundbreaking, I tied Defense (hit avoidance) to agility and damage reduction to armor. I mirrored this on the magical side with Magic Defense and Magic Armor. (continued in reply)

Well. I'm pretty sure I just bombed that interview.

DinoTheFrog @dinothefrog.bsky.social · 02/12/2024

TTRPG insight #2: So I really like the way some editions of Shadowrun does initiative, so for my system I want to allow the players to roll a dice pool and then spend Initiative value for actions. For example, standard Actions take 10 initiative points, fast 5, slow 10. (continued in reply)
