Dina M @dinamnealey.bsky.social · 20/09/2026The third Project Eryss stone, Watch the Stone Shine, is finally up and ready for reading on my site! artofdinam.com/watch-the-st... Here, as a bit of a preview, are the four illustrations for the story. 2207
Dina M @dinamnealey.bsky.social · 28/08/2026Not his wife, his daughter-in-law. And I don't think it said anywhere she caused the death of children... but she WAS associated with Epstein. Here, it's on Wikipedia. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Relatio...en.wikipedia.orgRelationship of Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway and Jeffrey Epstein - Wikipedia 120
Dina M @dinamnealey.bsky.social · 28/08/2026Yeah, the bus stop is named after the viking king. "Hardråde" was a name he got because he was a brave and fierce warrior. 000
Dina M @dinamnealey.bsky.social · 28/08/2026Dolly Parton, Tim Curry, Peter Cullen, and now King Harald... Could we cool it a bit with the deaths of decent people for the rest of the week? 060
Dina M @dinamnealey.bsky.social · 28/08/2026His son Haakon becomes the next king. HAS become the next king, in fact. The consecration ceremony probably won't take place for a while. but he officdially became King Haakon VIII this morning. As for the scandals, can't say. 000
Dina M @dinamnealey.bsky.social · 28/08/2026But yeah, the current Royal family of Norway is not related to Harald Fairhair. They didn't take the throne until 1905. Before that Norway was under Danish and then Swedish rule for centuries. When we declared independence the people voted to get a new king instead of becoming a republic. 000
Dina M @dinamnealey.bsky.social · 28/08/2026Norwegian here, and the story about Harald Fairhair gathering Norway to one kingdom to impress a woman... is generally agreed to have been totally made up centuries after his reign. But it made for a good story, so people kept telling it. 100
Dina M @dinamnealey.bsky.social · 28/08/2026Please at least TRY to get your fact straight before saying stuff like this. Marius Borg Høiby is not a prince, much less the crown prince, and has never been anywhere near the line of succession. 020
Dina M @dinamnealey.bsky.social · 26/08/2026This is Mickel, fox spirit of magic and one of the few male Project Eryss heroes. I'm envisioning that his theme song/leitmotif is the song "Hey Mickey", but the name "Mickey" replaced with "Mickel". ♪Oh, Mickel, you so fine You so fine, you blow my mind Hey Mickel! Hey Mickel!♪ 082

Dina M @dinamnealey.bsky.social · 25/08/2026...damn it, now I really want to see what Windsor McCay's take on Oz would have been like. 010

Dina M @dinamnealey.bsky.social · 20/08/2026I don't really think you needed that S to show that it was Susan speaking... it was clear enough in context, especially with Elliot's "No one's going to be surprised by that, Susan!" I'm enjoying the strip, though. 000
Dina M @dinamnealey.bsky.social · 20/08/2026How about... April O'Neill? She has a LOT of VERY different designs. 010
Dina M @dinamnealey.bsky.social · 17/08/2026At least it looks vastly better than the cel-shaded CG from that Rescue Rangers movie. 040
Dina M @dinamnealey.bsky.social · 16/08/2026I watched all three ages ago and I still have no idea why I did it. 110

Dina M @dinamnealey.bsky.social · 15/08/2026YES! THANK YOU! There's this cutesy "teeheehee I called you a fart teeheehee" attitude there that's just... icky. "But they're not femninist!" people cry. No, I didn't call them feminists, I called them TERFs and bigots. Pretend the F stands for "Fuckwit" if you must. 010
Dina M @dinamnealey.bsky.social · 14/08/2026I never watched X-Files... largely because of a joke I made as a kid and never abandoned. See, here in Norway, the tagline for X-Files was "You won't believe it until you see it!" And so, since I hadn't seen the show I started saying "There's no such thing as a show called X-Files!" 090
Dina M @dinamnealey.bsky.social · 14/08/2026But what abut the raising of the wrist? What can you teach us about that? 000
Dina M @dinamnealey.bsky.social · 13/08/2026Yeah, it's probably why he has to go the "you don't like me because you're woke and your snowflake sensibilities can't handle my honesty" route. That way HE's not the problem. 100
Dina M @dinamnealey.bsky.social · 13/08/2026I've been meaning to ask... is Toto meant to be Aunt Em's dog in this version? He calls her "Mom" and his interaction with Dorothy seems to be more sibling-like. 130
Dina M @dinamnealey.bsky.social · 13/08/2026Seriously, any laughs you might get out of Ricky Gervais these days is to read online fans' takedowns on him. 141
Dina M @dinamnealey.bsky.social · 13/08/2026And to top it all off... he's not even funny. I get that comedy is subjective, but COME ON. He makes ZERO effort because he knows that if he throws in some "dead baby" jokes or insults trans people, he can just claim the reason people don't like his comedy is because they're "woke snowflakes". 130
Dina M @dinamnealey.bsky.social · 13/08/2026I'll give him half a point for speaking against the Epstein crowd in 2020, but subtract 50 for his insufferable attitude, trans hatred, whining about being silenced while still getting Netflix shows, and trying to pass his garbage as "working class wisdom". Working class? He's a multimillionaire! 240
Dina M @dinamnealey.bsky.social · 13/08/2026Ricky Gervais is the comedy equivalent of a guy who steps on an ant and then brags about it. And when you point out that killing an ant isn't a big accomplishment, he goes "Oh, did I OFFEND you? Did I INSULT your snowflake feelings?" No, dude, I'm just baffled because you brag about killing an ant. 120
Dina M @dinamnealey.bsky.social · 13/08/2026...actually, this is EXACTLY like overhearing a bunch of blokes at the pub. A bunch of horribly dull and pathetic blokes who had a few beers and think they're witty philosopher kings. But at least the pub blokes don't make animated series around their inane conversations and call it comedy. 130
Dina M @dinamnealey.bsky.social · 13/08/2026I think they're trying to go for a mix of "blokes at the pub" and a Bojak Horseman style cynical nihilism, like being all darkly philosophical and stuff. Problem is, unlike Bojak Horseman they're not actually thinking very hard about their philosophy at all, and unlike the blokes at the pub... 120
Dina M @dinamnealey.bsky.social · 13/08/2026That's Alley Cats in a nutshell: So boring and utterly pathetic that you can't even snark at it. All you can do is sit there and wonder who the hell thinks this is funny. And then out of nowhere they try to include a sad and poignant moment which falls flat because the tone barely changes. 120
Dina M @dinamnealey.bsky.social · 13/08/2026The episodes are fifteen minutes long. First one felt like an hour. Filled with the most pathetic excuse for banter I've seen in ages. Like watching five year olds trying to verbally bully each other, and thinking they're sophisticated and witty because they swear. Imagine an hour of this: 120
Dina M @dinamnealey.bsky.social · 13/08/2026Okay, so against my better judgment I watched the first one-and-a-half episodes of Alley Cats just to see if it was really that bad. It was. And not, as Ricky Gervais tries to pretend, because it's too "edgy" and "offensive" for my delicate sensibilities... but because it was SO HORRIBLY BORING. 150
Dina M @dinamnealey.bsky.social · 12/08/2026I found out that unlike "The Day the Earth Blew Up" this movie is actually going to be in Norwegian movie theatres, in September. Definitely going to check it out. 1153
Dina M @dinamnealey.bsky.social · 11/08/2026I'd like either the Fae pet or the delivery girl and genie transformation. 220
Dina M @dinamnealey.bsky.social · 10/08/2026Just a heads-up: The protagonist's kind of an unlikeable douche. I very deliberately wrote him as one because he's kind of a parody of some of the "protagonists" I've read in other hypno-stories. 110
Dina M @dinamnealey.bsky.social · 10/08/2026But the story does also include Rosalyn Westwood and Jenna in smaller, but important roles. And we get to meet a few more of Paragon Bay's superheroines and -villains. Even I make a cameo in my "Evenstar" persona! Shouldn't be TOO long before the story is ready for the posting. I'll let you know. 120
Dina M @dinamnealey.bsky.social · 10/08/2026"Watch the Stone Shine" is another novella, and the first Project Eryss story with a male protagonist... for a given value of "protagonist", that is. It's essentially the tale of one disgruntled store worker's rapid descent into villainy when he chances to find a ring with hypno-powers. 120
