Oh, we're alive. Just busy. Lots of #Ys stuff happening behind the scenes. We're seeing all the news about physical media, AI, PlayStation, XBOX, Nintendo, DRM, Key Cards, Key Discs, code in box, tariffs, the list goes on. 2026 has been a ride. What are you playing?

An important point that deserves FAR more attention: It's not just about preservation or today's ownership. What happens to digital licenses when you're gone? They're tied to 1 account, 1 person. Physical can be willed to children, friends, even a dog. Digital has no equity.

The Trails series won't be over by 2028. Many of us started and continue to collect physical on #PlayStation. Something to consider...

As I approach the end of my first Ys game, I gotta shout out this helpful website that took me from "oh I've heard of Ys, what is it exactly?" to "I'll probably finish Ys I and start Ys II today" in the span of a day and a half

#Ys III was released on the #Sega Genesis in 1991 by Renovation. It's perhaps best remembered for its infamous cover art depiction of Adol Christin. Just look at this absolute stud.

#Ys III Wanderers from Ys was released on Super Nintendo in 1992 and was many peoples' entry into the series. Valestein Castle was renamed "Ballacetine Castle" in the North America, one of several quirky translation choices from the early 90s.

Ignore Nayuta. (Or don't. It's actually really good!) Here's my Switch Ys collection so far. I own most of them physically except for Celceta (and Nayuta).

A screenshot of a game group on Nintendo Switch. The group is titled "Ys / Falcom". It contains icons for Ys X: Nordics, Ys IX: Monstrum Nox, Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana, Ys Memoire: Revelations in Celceta, Ys Origin, and The Legend of Nayuta: Boundless Trails.
