They still care. They want their STB ex to not shrivel up and die, but they cannot live in an inequitable exchange where the problem is acknowledged but only resolved if Friend makes the decision, pulls the trigger and follows up on the patch/fix/repair in the relationship.

I cannot stress enough how much stuff I would've left behind, had I known that friends would've *happily gifted us* the things that needed replacing. We're 4 years out now, and I'm still finding things I thought were special but could totally have given away or sold. It's just Stuff©.

For fear of the soon-to-be ex's reaction to leaving their shared home, we've been encouraging her as she brings supposed "garbage bags" to her car, then work, then friend's cars, who will later bring it to Friend's new, unlisted housing complex, and help her get setup.

Hey folks, with people scrambling in the wake of Hour car's imminent demise, if you just need a car for a day every now and then and are a Costco member, they have a car rental site (costcotravel dot com) that has really good rates.

I feel it's important to note that this family is not necessarily Reneé's chosen family; this is the family of genetic origin, and the mother is a Republican. She voted for this, but didn't think it would affect her.

One of the biggest obstacles to trans inclusivity in fieldwork is uncertainty. Here's a video of me talking about it but you can also read about it at inclusivefieldwork.leeds.ac.uk

The United States judicial system lays bare how much this society genuinely hates women.

❤️‍🩹 thanks, Friend. It gets a bit twisted when DV advocacy programs, legal aid or certain forms of childcare and protection/assistance cannot be utilized or resourced, because no applicable crime(s) were committed.

It's a great joke. Victim walks into a police station, lays a recording of domestic violence on the countertop. Police officer looks it over, saying, "Evidence is only useful if the images show an actual crime occurring." They acknowledge what's happening but it's not illegal. That's the whole joke.

It wasn't a crime in MN until COVID.

The way my counselor explained it to me, is that these men will have a "script" in their mind of how a sexual encounter should take place, and they will do anything and everything for it to play out as such. Mine wouldn't agree to scheduling time for intimacy, but took advantage when I was sedated.

Mine as well ❤️‍🩹 Grandpa used to make The Chairs in his workshop, and now I have 3 that he made of varying size. One in each bedroom and another in the dressing room. Very rarely do humans sit in said chairs 🪑

It’s insane that people in Congress are paid over $174K a year in taxpayer dollars whilst making millions of dollars from insider trading whilst getting 18 vacations a year as Americans all over the country struggle to pay for rent, gas and groceries.

NYT didn't catch Tim Curry being the first/most popular guess. Morons.

A screenshot from the New York Times app, featuring the Connections game, where the player groups similar boxes in groups of 4.
On the left is a color from each category, representing over 1 Million First Guesses of all players, featuring the names Frank-N-Furter, Pennywise, Wadsworth and Long John Silver ... As The Top Incorrect Guess.

Sidelined as "movie villains" in the answer sheet, this guess of 4 names represents iconic roles played by none other than The Late Tim Curry, and the NYT is a bunch of idiots for not realizing that and labeling it as such, and may the legendary Lord of Darkness rest in peace.

Indeed! Coming up on the anniversary of our escape, I got assigned to a DV support group; the accountability has raised my awareness of where humane boundaries can start to weaken, then collapse, under constant strain and demand for access.

Your town has this clause in their impound lots, too, right? ... right? Maybe get on that; chilly arrests at airports an' such. It's an insignificant thing to preconceive but ENORMOUSLY consequential in the immediate aftermath.
