Sculpting progress has been so slow, I am this 🤏 close to starting from scratch on the mouth area because the current state of it just doesn't look right.

Using six wavelength bands, from the ultraviolet to the infrared, #Hubble has observed the spiral galaxy NGC 5042 in all its multicoloured magnificence! Read more 👉 esahubble.org/images/potw2... 🧪🔭

The spiral galaxy NGC 5042. It is noticeably bright around the central region of its disc, then dims somewhat out to the edge where there are fewer stars. Two spiral arms circle through the disc and emerge beyond its edge, around the galaxy’s sides. Many pink spots of new star formation, as well as dark reddish strands of dust, cover the galaxy. The arms contain some speckled, blue patches containing hot stars.

I'm honoured to have drawn the thumbnail for the first episode of @masterchefstirx.bsky.social's Tales from the Eye! This #outerwilds project definitely has a special place in my heart, though drawing Nomai is a skill I have yet to master ❤️

🩸 BLOOD BOND 🩸 (from '22 and inspired by vampire bats french kissing with blood to bond with each other, so why not vampires)! :)

A drawing of two vampires leaning in towards each other on a yellow background to share blood off of their forked tongues. Their heads are bat-like with pterosaur-like wings with fingers and thumbs present. A somewhat human torso give way to hairy human legs and bums. A heart is between their outstretched claws with white flowers framing a red moon above them. Red stars border the bottom half of the illustration.

dogfish pack from summer of last year! 🐟

A ceramic catfish with legs. Its barbels are made out of wire. Its eyes are big and peering, the body is olive in colour with the very top half of its body and head black, and a pale white belly and legs. The skeleton like lateral line on its body is a rusty brown.

The catfish facing in the opposite direction.

To the left, a ceramic zebra danio with legs; a slender blue and yellow striped fish. To the right, a ceramic yellow perch with legs; a green fish with darker barring on its body, the green fading to a warm yellow by its belly, and orange by its legs.

To the left, a ceramic and fictitious spiky finned and compact fish with legs. A black body contrasts a white underside. White spots dapple its body and its eyes a red-orange. To the right, a ceramic barred knifejaw with legs; a vertically striped black and white fish with hints of yellow against its cheeks and tail.

A tiny bracelet for a 1/6 scale friend! My poor little guy is still unstrung and half-finished, but I can't stop making things for them. The next job will be to make a matching bracelet for their future girlfriend, even though she won't exist for a ✨while✨

🔭 The Universe is a dusty place. This NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope picture shows swirling clouds of gas and dust near the Tarantula Nebula, the most productive star-forming region in the nearby Universe, home to the most massive stars known.

A portion of a nebula, made of variously-coloured layers of dust clouds. One upper layer is dark reddish dust which is dense and obscures light, in places so dense that it appears black. A middle layer is pale clouds that are thick like curling wisps of smoke. They form a broad bow across the centre of the image. Many small, bright stars lie throughout the nebula, coloured blue, purple or red depending on depth.
