Recognising Niven didn't want a lot of attention he just tactfully acknowledged and then helped out. Niven saw he knew him but was also respecting his privacy. 1670

Insurance is in case an event happens, assurance is for when a guaranteed event occurs. So life insurance if you die through accident, life assurance for when you eventually die. 000
