Epitaph is one of my favourite songs of all time.

Some big changes in the Dichroma world this week. It remains to be seen if this results in regular increased output musically, but it can't hurt.

Dichroma @dichroma.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

The track 'Red' is where angular metal was born. Heaviest stuff from the '70s.

Dichroma @dichroma.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

I read that as "as a tool, I used AI to write music'.

My pen.

Dichroma @dichroma.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

Spoon Hammer up to shenanigans, as usual.

Dichroma @dichroma.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

My alter did a cover of a Misty Route song for the Bitume 10th Anniversary CD and it came out great.

Dichroma @dichroma.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

About a third of the list for me.

Dichroma @dichroma.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

I'm game. Probably could have done several of these by genre, TV, OAV or movie, but I'll go with these for now.

9 Anime: Evangleion, Oniisama-e, Patlabor, Lain, Nausicaa, Maison Ikkoku, Jojo, Gatchaman and Akira.

Dichroma @dichroma.bsky.social · 16/09/2026

Maybe ask him what songs he likes and play those?

Dichroma @dichroma.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

I did this on something I'm working on. But I turned it down.

Dichroma @dichroma.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

Easily their worst song, even with strong contenders on Virtual X.

Dichroma @dichroma.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

You don't live here.

Has the bone-headed decision to have the characters named after a JG Ballard book ever been explained?

Dichroma @dichroma.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

The Nagasaki Museum doesn't have that.

Dichroma @dichroma.bsky.social · 10/09/2026

I saw them in concert and I tell people that 'I saw Zeppelin'. My former boss, who saw the real Zeppelin is jealous.

Dichroma @dichroma.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

Sags a bit in the middle, but I think it's a great song. And I was pleased and surprised at them taking a chance on a largely piano based song at this point in their career.

Dichroma @dichroma.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

Dichroma's Bancamp Fridays are the same as any other Bandcamp day. We really need to get more stuff out. And I have to learn how to pimp oursleves more effectively.

Dichroma @dichroma.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

Rock Stakk records in Osaka still has a couple of copies of my first band's demo.

Picture of independent metal band cassettes located in Osaka, Japan.

Dichroma @dichroma.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

Is it Satan?

Dichroma @dichroma.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

Don't worry. It gets better after that, if by 'better' you mean it makes 'less sense and will piss you off by the end'.

Dichroma @dichroma.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

Surprised he was able to get a solid grip.

Dichroma @dichroma.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

They have my first band on there, and people from there keep asking about my follow-up bands (including Dichroma) and they never give those a page. I'm playing that same kind of stuff as far as I am concerned.

Dichroma @dichroma.bsky.social · 02/09/2026

Everyone on that show is goddamn miserable.

Dichroma @dichroma.bsky.social · 30/08/2026

I think that might be the best track on the album.

Dichroma @dichroma.bsky.social · 30/08/2026

C. I've written a bunch of stuff in major keys that doesn't sound 'happy'.

Dichroma @dichroma.bsky.social · 29/08/2026

Reminds me of a used record store owner on the Danforth in the late '90s who would answer before anyone could ask him a question -- 'Yes, we have No Doubt'.

Dichroma @dichroma.bsky.social · 27/08/2026

Best post-Dickinson/Smith reunion album.

Dichroma @dichroma.bsky.social · 15/08/2026

Wake up. Time to die.

Dichroma @dichroma.bsky.social · 11/08/2026

It's pretty pointless, at best.

Dichroma @dichroma.bsky.social · 11/08/2026

Do not listen to the Stones version of My Girl. It's the opposite of this.

Dichroma @dichroma.bsky.social · 09/08/2026

Of the 5, I finally found one that I could actually listen to. I think it was the Butch Vig production.

Dichroma @dichroma.bsky.social · 03/08/2026

Destruction!

Dichroma @dichroma.bsky.social · 02/08/2026

How much is the fish? How much is the chips? How much is the fish? Does the fish have chips?! Underrated band.

Was it like ants in your pants?

Dichroma @dichroma.bsky.social · 01/08/2026

Boo!

Dichroma @dichroma.bsky.social · 01/08/2026

Duran Duran Notorious?

Avenged Sevenfold -- everything wrong with 90's Maiden

Dichroma @dichroma.bsky.social · 25/07/2026

There was a metric fuckton of swear words in your last novel.

Dichroma @dichroma.bsky.social · 24/07/2026

Phew. That would have been weird.

Dichroma @dichroma.bsky.social · 24/07/2026

Is that Garcia from the Dead?

Dichroma @dichroma.bsky.social · 22/07/2026

I saw Metallica perform in a tent in the Arctic.

Dichroma @dichroma.bsky.social · 22/07/2026

Sounds like Jeff Buckley.

Dichroma @dichroma.bsky.social · 18/07/2026

I also like Mogwai and Massive Attack. Angine De Poitrine are fun. We need a bit more levity in the world right now.

Dichroma @dichroma.bsky.social · 18/07/2026

Agreed that Sunday looks the best.

Dichroma @dichroma.bsky.social · 16/07/2026

A common line-up in jazz though, which all serious writers listen to.

Dichroma @dichroma.bsky.social · 15/07/2026

Robocop. Saw the theater stand-up 'part man. Part machine. All cop' for weeks and thought it was going to be a stupid, stupid film.

Dichroma @dichroma.bsky.social · 14/07/2026

It kind of ended. That's the best I can say of the later seasons. You aren't missing anything.
