Put together a wee modernism/contemporary lit Starter Pack (because there simply wasn't not enough research/teaching prep/admin/housework to keep me occupied) DM me if I've made any glaring omissions or besmirched your good name by implying that you're a modernist go.bsky.app/CkQhf9v

'So the bird alights.' Currently working on Mina Loy's infamously unfinishing experimental Islands in the Air contained in the Beinecke Library (although an edited publication of these texts is on the way from Karla Kelsey with Yale University Press!). Here is one of my favourite pages.
Typescript from the Yale Beinecke Library Mina Loy Papers. The Paper is aged and damaged. The paragraph ends at the top of the page followed by a downward triangle composed of receding reiterations of 'LOY'. https://collections.library.yale.edu/catalog/11594331

Alright, first post on Here! A short intro: I'm a French ECR, working as an ATER at Sorbonne Université in Paris. My research focuses on transatlantic modernism and surrealism, especially women writers and artists of the 1920s and 1930s. I did my PhD on Mina Loy. I love archives, tea, and the sea ✨
